“Interesting place for short stay :)”

Great place for short stay! Facilities are very clean and there is all you need just to spend a night in a quite special hotel. Served breakfast (10 EUR) was simple but reasonable. We found parking place for car nearby street and everything in the city is in walking distance. There is shared bathroom and you need to make up your bed but experience you get and price you pay + in the morning you are free to go = pricless!

Had an amazing time at Alibi Hostel! Everything was spotlessly clean, the beds were super comfortable, and the location just perfect. It’s such a fun and unique experience to spend the night in a former prison — definitely something to remember! We loved it so much that we even decided to stay an extra night. Highly recommend!

As good as it gets in hostel world, methinks! I was very happy with my solo 2-person room, the facilities were as clean as can reasonably be expected, and the staff and breakfast definitely exceeded expectations. It was a solid option for my brief 2-day work trip to Leeuwarden.

“Characterful former prison where the inmates have the keys.”

A former prison is a really cool place to spend a night or two. We had our own cell with a good view through the barred window. All the facilities were clean and comfortable. The breakfast was inexpensive and tasty. Secure bike storage was provided. The staff were friendly and helpful and the location couldn't have been better. The hostel has shared social spaces where you can read, play games or watch TV, a kitchen where you can prepare your own meals and a bar where you can purchase drinks.

this has been such an amazing experience for me, this was a jail alright, but decorated and furnished in such a warm cozy way. the staff has been very kind and understanding to my needs and the location is very convenient. They have rooms for every need you have, lounge, bar, kitchen, cozy spaces to read or rest, you just need to explore a bit.

Amazing experience! You can meet the friends from different countries. Also, the kitchen is convinent to cook by yourself. The location of this Hostel is near canal and the buliding style is very classic! If you visit Leeuwarden and want to live in Hostel. Alibi is a good choice!
