“Amazing stay in Lecce”

What an amazing place to stay, better than a hotel. The rooom was very modern, tastefully decorated modern and clean. Location was great, few minutes walking from city centre. We were always able to find parking in the same street (paying 1.3 eur per hour / working hours only). Cleaning provided every day. Amazing breakfast, with so much variety (cheese, pastries, fruits, etc). Massimo the owner was there every day for breakfast and gave us a lot of great recommendations, he spoke great english and also spanish and french.

A lovely spacious room at the doorstep of Lecce. On street parking readily available in front of the property which had large parking bays that could easily accommodate large cars. The host, Massimo, could not have been more attentive and caring - he is thoroughly deserving of the many plaudits that appear in customer feedback.

Great location and very clean

Everything about the location, the property, and most importantly, Massimo, our wonderful host. Massimo came to pick us from the bus station, he gave us plenty of recommendations for food and places to go. He even brought us to an olive farm to buy some real good quality olive oils. Every morning, he would prepare a wonderful breakfast and we would have great conversations together. All in all, Massimo rates as the best host in the history of my travels. Bravo Massimo. We will miss your generous hospitality.

The room looks very similar to what you would expect from an hotel. It is large, very clean, recent and well equiped. You even have a desk that would make it perfectly suitable as a place to work. It is well located at 5 minutes from Lecce historical center. We found a parking at approx. 5mn from here but it may not have been the closest one. Host is nice and attentive. Breakfast is served by him every morning in a dedicated room with good local products and in particular the famous local pastries called "pasticciotti".

“Quaint and well positioned”

The rooms were quaint, big bathroom, comfortable bed and large kitchen. It was very pleasant. Very close to restaurants, mini market and coffee and pastry shops.

The breakfasts were exceptional. The host shopped each morning at local bakery and market to bring fresh baked goods and fruit along with meats and cheeses and freshly squeezed orange juice. The location was also very good - about a short 10 minute walk to the Old Town. The suite was brand new, large and very comfortable.

Taranta Suites is the best B&B I ever stayed at, a spacious and very clean room and bathroom, a bottle of wine as welcome. City centre is within 5 minutes walking distance. Mr. Massimo is the very hospitable owner, who provided us with an excellent breakfast with a choice of fresh and local products and even fresh pressed orange juice. Also he gave all kinds of information about Lecce, restaurants etc. At our depart, he even kindly offered to bring us to the trainstation of Lecce! We had an unforgettable time here.

What did we like? Everything. Our host Massimo was super responsive from the very moment we booked our stay. He responded to all of our questions in a timely manner. He met us personally when we arrived, and when he did we saw he was a genuinely kind and helpful man. He helped us with figuring out how to get around, and recommended some walking tours. The room was clean, orderly, and perfect for our needs. WiFi worked without issue. The location is great for access to both the historical and the shopping sides of Lecce. But what was even more wonderful was the breakfast offerings Massimo put out for us. Just too many things to mention - it made us want to move in for good! 😀 The pasticciotto that he offered at breakfast made the one we had at the so called “top pasticciotto” cafe in Lecce taste like a cheap copy. When we had to leave, very early in the morning, Massimo called for our taxi pickup, which was a huge help. I hope there is another time soon for us to return to Lecce. I’d come back just to stay at Taranta Suite.

Massimo the owner of this B and B was the best host we have had throughout Italy. He was so caring & hospitable and he made us feel like we had a old friend in Lecce! The location was perfect! Massimo also helped us navigate our way through Lecce providing us with all the best restaurants, sites and beaches not to miss! Our short 2 night stay was amazing because of all the knowledge he provided us with! Room was super spacious and clean. Breakfast was also lovely. A beautifully and tastefully equipped B&B with owners that go the extra mile to spoil their guests. Everything is brand-new and of excellent quality. There's even a daily cleaning service and the maid takes her job seriously. There's not a speck of dust anywhere and the whole place is immaculate. The B&B is basically one big apartment divided into 3 separate and very private guest rooms plus a communal kitchen where breakfast is served and where guests can use the tea and coffee making facilities during the day. The soundproofing is excellent and the rooms are very quiet. We had the junior suite (Suite Lupiae) which even featured a balcony and it was fun to watch the street life below. Another thoughtful aspect is the clothes dryer on the balcony. You don't get that very often. Massimo's breakfast is legendary. Whether it's Italy's best salami (which comes from Parma, not Puglia), cactus fruit, fresh figs or fresh ricotta (still warm) from a special farmers market. It was a wonderful experience and we shall be happy to return.
