Great location near the historic center. Easy communication with the host and early check-in was a big bonus. Spacious apartment with great heating.

“Unsatisfactory”

One bad problem was that the place was closed (building door locked and nobody at reception) when I arrived, although I had paid reservation. Called and the woman said that she sent some email on the day of arrival, but obviously people are traveling on the day of arrival ! In general there was nobody at the reception. The building is old, and the terrace unkept. The AC in room was poor and the furniture old, the room was very dark (very dim lights), and towels worn-out. This place does not have any breakfast. The price should be lower for what is offered.

“Great location just outside the historical center”

The apartment is in an apartment building. We assumed that more apartments were rented out for short term lets. The location is fantastic and could not be better, especially if you are coming by car. There is parking available just outside the building for 0,6 Eur per hour (night and Sundays are free). We were lucky and always found a parking spot right in front of the house. Only use the blue parking! White is for 30 minutes. The parking meter accepts only coins and the card slot is broken. It is apparently also possible to use a parking app. The building can be accessed with a code and keys were ready at the apartment, so no need to meet anyone at a specific time, which we prefer. Our apartment was on the 3rd floor and had a small but well equipped kitchen and a lovely roofed terrace (no view), which must be great in summer. There was one bedroom in the apartment with a double bed and one more tiny walk-through bedroom with a single bed. As per usual, there is only one blanket on the double bed, but that seems to be normal in Italy. The apartment included a bathroom with a shower. There is a window in the bathroom very high up above the ground which was open and made the bathroom a little cold. No chance to close it as it was well above 2,5 meters high up. I had a work meeting via Google Meet and had no issues with internet speed, in fact that was also excellent. All in all we were very satisfied with our stay as well as with our host Emma, who was always available to answer questions.

Property's location is great, you can reach all main sightseeing points and restaurants on foot. If you arrive by car, parking is available on the street, you have to pay for it but it's not expensive (currently costs ~0.60Eur/h). Emma was a superb hostess. We asked a lot of questions about Puglia and she gladly answered all of those. 10/10, I would stay at Palazzo Massari again!

“Perfect room, perfect location and the wonderful Emma.”

Where do I start? This was a perfect room just a few minutes walk from the station and then just a few minutes walk from the stunning old town. Every detail was right for me. And then there was wonderful Emma who was friendly, informative and efficient. Her recommendations made a big difference to my experience. If I was lucky enough to live in Lecce I hope that Emma would be my best friend!

Emma is an incredible host. She is very fast to communicate and she is very accommodating. The place is in a great location—we appreciated being so close to the train station and the Old Town. Our room was very clean and had so much space.

The location is top notch, the rooms are clean and spacious but most of all the host Emma is amazing, she was always there for breakfast and made sure to have a chat. She is super kind and sweet! The breakfast option are very wide, loads of different local pastries, bread and yoghurts. We could park in front of the B&B almost free of charge. If we come back to Lecce we will definitely stay here again!
