Dimore Charleston is in an excellent position if you are visiting Lecce, and only 2mins walk from one of the main gates (Porta San Biagio) into the old City. For anyone touring by car, the car park is excellent and secure and it is great to be able to leave the car and move around on foot. The house itself is magnificent a grand old building that is immaculately kept in all regards. We stayed in the private apartment which was large and very comfortable (especially the bed). The breakfast was very good and was served in a very nice room, which gave you the chance to talk with the staff and other guests, it was a lovely experience. Manilo, the owner of the house was very kind and helpful and very proud of Lecce, his home town and there seemed to be nothing he did not know about the area. We loved our stay there.

A lovely old style property but it has all the modern amenities including a lift. The proprietor is very friendly and even though we did not include breakfast he invited us in anyway.

If you come with your own car, Dimora Charleston is the place to be with its own on-site parking. Parking in Lecce is otherwise a hazzle even off season. Once there, the dimora is well positioned for discovering the old and new town of Lecce by walking. The owner and staff provided some nice recommendations for restaurants, beaches etc. If you choose the dimora, go for the rooms with balcony on 1st floor.

We had a great time in Lecce. The host was very helpful with suggestions for places to eat. Loved our stay in the convenient location. The owner even organised a very early taxi pick up for us which we were so grateful for due to our very limited Italian skills.
