Overview
The Hotel Steinbock is located at the edge of Lauterbrunnen opposite the train and cable car station for Grütschalp, Mürren and the Schilthorn. The rooms offer views of the mountains including the Jungfrau, Breithorn and Ebnefluh, all over 4000 metres high. Swiss specialities and pizzas as well as game dishes in autumn and winter are served in the restaurant. Just 10 metres from the Steinbock hotel, buses leave for Stechelberg and Isenfluh.

The room was simple but clean, the location is right next to the train station, the staff was really nice. The breakfast was great and the restaurant also had reasonable prices for dinner. Would return the next time I'm in Lauterbrunnen.

“2 star hotel in Zermatt village is alot better with the same price with them.”
The room is too small. The ceilling is made out of wood and we can hear every steps and creaking sound made by other tenants.

“Reasonably priced hotel in Lauterbrunnen”
One of the cheap and yet nice choices in Lauterbrunnen. My room was in an adjacent building. Confortable, with a very retro bathroom, but cozy and what could have been a nice view but there were some repairs ongoing. Right by the train station so very convenient without a car.

Nice and big room with a big bed. Perfect location, few steps away from the train station and from the cable car taking you to the slopes. Very clean, great breakfast, super nice and friendly staff - I can only reccommend this hotel!!!
