Overview
Built in the 1890s, this historic hotel was one of the first hotels in Lauterbrunnen. The family-run Hotel Staubbach offers panoramic views of the Staubbach Falls and Lauterbrunnen Valley. It is located 600 metres from the Lauterbrunnen station and offers free parking and free Wi-Fi. Hotel Staubbach provides simply furnished rooms with private or shared bathrooms. On the ground floor you can find a TV. Wine, beer and soft drinks are sold at the reception. In the surroundings you can find many hiking paths leading to the 72 waterfalls in the area. Restaurants and shops are within a 5 to 10-minute walk. The Jungfrau Ski region includes the resorts of Mürren Schilthorn, Wengen, Kleine Scheidegg-Männlichen and Grindelwald First. It offers 213 km of well-groomed ski slopes.

Location was terrific. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was included which was a bonus. Had a lift another bonus. Had a picnic room where you could bring to heat up - well equipped with glasses, played etc plus tea/coffee facilities. Great information booklet in the room. Beds comfortable.

“Great hotel. Fab views. Excellent staff.”
The rooms were decent without being luxurious. The facilities for guests (hot and cold drinks all day, use of plates, cutlery etc) were really good. However, the staff were outstanding. Caring and engaged. Breakfast was excellent and again, the level of customer service and engagement was top class. This isn’t a posh hotel but with amazing views and excellent staff, it punches above its weight.

“The staff are amazing”
The staff were the nicest people ever! Let us keep our luggage there after check out while we headed out to do the via ferrara/hikes. So accommodating and the room had an amazing view.

An excellent location. Staff were friendly and approachable. We had delayed luggage that was sent to the Hotel and staff were very accommodating with receiving it if we were not there.

The staff was the friendliest and most helpful that we met on our entire 10-day trip. The balcony room we had facing the waterfall had to have the best view of any room in town. It was unbelievable and very much worth paying a little extra.

Adam (manager) was very helpful to us about everything. Even prior to check-in time, his guidance was really appreciated. The location of the place is great. Having a parking spot is also great Breakfast is also good and sufficant.
