“Friendly, beautiful location, highly recommended!”

The owners of the hotel and all staff were so nice, friendly, accommodating, generous and professional, nothing was ever a problem. And the accommodation was perfect as is its location, a beautiful time out and super memories. We do hope to visit again and would highly recommend.

We stayed at this guesthouse for four days because we were looking for a remote place to unwind in winter – and it was exactly that. The secluded location makes it very peaceful and allows you to slow down and disconnect from everyday life. The animals from the farm – especially the horses, as well as the cat and dog – were a lovely part of our stay and quickly grew on us. The hosts are very kind and attentive, making sure you have everything you need without being intrusive. You can tell they care about their guests. The food was very good, especially the trout from their own fish farm. Overall, we had a really nice experience and would gladly recommend staying here. Thank you very much!

Excellent stay, Beautiful location and hot warm pool along with nature bath which is free to access. Room was spacious and comfortable. Worth the stay.

I love Heydalur, it's such a beautiful place to stay. The location is amazing, the rooms are always clean and comfortable and the restaurant is great. The staff are super-helpful (one of them even helped us to change a tyre!) and the pools are a great way to unwind after a long drive. We even saw the arctic fox that is friends with their dog!

Second time here and it's as wonderful as last time. I love everything about this place. Animals running around, the food, the staff, remoteness, the horses, the views and the swimming pool. If I could, I would stay for at least one week. ❤️ I wish the owners all the best, you made a truly magical place in Westfjords. Thank you for having us!

We had dinner and breakfast, and both were incredible! Ingredients were mostly local and produced at Heydalur, and everything was so fresh and delicious. The facilities are amazing - beautiful views of the valley, hot tubs, and the rooms are super cozy and comfy. Can't wait to go back!

Amazing natural hot spring and pool area also. Really nice restaurant. Simple and tasty breakfast.

All the staff is very accommodating from horse back riding to helping my kid getting a photo with their bird. Food is amazing and not that expensive as well (we tried lamb stew, puffins, meat lasagne & the blueberry dessert). Hot pool available with shower area. Strategically located for a 1 night stop to break the driving within westfjords. Amazing view on the valley.

Strong nature and hot pools are fantastic

Our stay was truly enjoyable. The room was simple yet functional and comfortable, providing everything needed for a pleasant night. Nestled in a serene valley, the hotel and camping area offer a peaceful retreat immersed in nature—an ideal place to unwind and relax. One of the highlights was dining in the beautifully converted barn, where we savored a delicious meal in a warm and inviting atmosphere. Breakfast was equally fantastic, featuring freshly baked bread and homemade jams that added a wonderful touch to the experience. Although we only stayed for one night, we thoroughly appreciated the tranquil surroundings and the thoughtful hospitality

Probably the animals :) I really liked the style of the farm. Reminds of childhood nostalgia. The food had extremely good quality and it was really nice spending time in a family maneer also with the owners.

Atmosphere people surrandings and animals. It’s like Yellowstone but with no guns and no violence :)

Fantastic dinner in their restaurant and geothermal pool perfect for a relaxing moment! We loved the dogs and parrot as well
