The garden and pool area are lovely and well maintained with lush tropical plants that are regularly tended to. The bar and restaurant area are rustic but have a lovely Caribbean beach vibe. The location was great, we spotted some beautiful wildlife in the garden and the beach and Terranas town were easily walkable, the hotel is tucked away from the town though and so very peaceful. The yoga in the garden was magical and the instructor was perfect.

I can highly recommend La Tortuga. Especially the fantastic service. The staff are incredibly friendly and always available. I would definitely come back.

Very good location, just 5 minutes from the busy streets and beach. Just enough that you don't hear the cheap noisy roller bikes all night. Breakfast was good but...

“Charming and romantic stay in Las Terrenas”

We had a wonderful stay and felt welcome from the very first moment, greeted with a refreshing freshly squeezed juice. The hotel grounds and surroundings are absolutely beautiful and exceptionally well maintained, creating a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. The rooms are rustic, full of charm, and very cozy, perfectly matching the character of the place. In the evenings, the bar is open until 11 p.m., offering an intimate and romantic ambiance that we truly enjoyed. The seawater pool is especially refreshing and beautiful, and we loved that it is available without fixed opening hours, allowing for complete relaxation at any time of day. A truly special place that we would happily return to and highly recommend to anyone visiting Las Terrenas.

“Lush Tropical Paradise”

The common areas, the pool, the tropical garden, we could not have made a better choice than La Tortuga. The fact that the hotel is not on the main road/sea front makes it a much quieter place. The staff was amazing. We originally booked for 3 nights but then extended our stay for another 4 nights. The rooms were spacious. The location was great. There was a gym nearby. And there was yoga twice a week. The staff also accommodated any extra wishes.

“Nice hotel”

Nice hotel with rooms in beautiful garden arranged in twins. The rooms are created in cement style; cement bed, table, shower etc. The linen is very clean. Breakfast great!

“Exceeded expectations.”

I am always looking for places where I can bring my dog with me and La Tortuga and it's staff were so great and accomodating in this aspect. The entire property was adorable and the rooms were also very comfortable. Breakfast was super yummy and I will definitely be recommending this place to my friends.

Beautiful spacious villas with comfortable beds set around a beautiful pool (exactly like the photo), it is a very private space. Staff were so kind and helpful. Great breakfast every morning of fresh fruit, bread and eggs cooked to order. Great location just a 5 minute walk to the beach and loads of wonderful restaurants.
