Downtown location is good. It’s a compact studio with kitchen. Lady next door (who gives the keys) is very friendly but speaks only Spanish.

We liked the ease of the location, close to the beach and many restaurants and shops. The terrace was an extra bonus with a nice view for bird watching and ample space to hang laundry or dry clothes and just enjoy. The small kitchen was very nice to have and prepare breakfast and lunch. Very resposnsive and helpful staff.

“Cozy Apartment Close to Everything You Need”

I really loved my stay here. The host was extremely kind and flexible, especially when I needed to extend my stay while I was sick. The place is amazing, very close to the beach, the city center, and everything you need. For the price, the quality is outstanding compared to other options in the city, with a private bathroom and shower, and even a water tank, which means you can still shower when there’s no water in town. I had seen some previous comments mentioning smells in the street and issues with the water system, which initially made me a bit hesitant, but all of these problems have clearly been resolved and were not an issue at all during my stay.

It's near to the beach, I feel secure walk in the night, from house to the disco, have small stuff for kitchen, and this makes good economic to cooking in the apartment, the señora it's so good person, helpful in everything , she it's near for anything you need, really I love this cute apartment....

There are 2 studios. I slept in the upper one with terrace. Small but has everything you essentially need. If you need to wash clothes the caregiver for small $ will gladly do it for you. Staircase caracal a little weird but in that small space what else could you do 🤷‍♂️ In general close to beach, cafeterias and restaurants. Even the local bus stop to go to salto limon or samana is about 100m down the street. I loved it. One day chicken was awaiting me at the doorway 😂😂😂 free dinner 👻

For me super value for the money I was cooking myself - costs really low and the little studio had all that i needed: small gas stove, utensils and couple of pots 😉 I really love the way wi-fi worked here 🥰🥰🥰

I strongly recommend to pay couple of $ more end take Apt.2 with terrace as supposed to the single room with washroom in Casa de Matias. Especially if there is 2 of you. It is a lot more comfortable. If you are looking for budget stay take the small room 😉 Ps. Cool pub and restaurant is open to the public on top of hotel next door 🥰

The entrance to the room is directly from the street, as if a person were on the sidewalk. Hear a lot of noise (motorcycles) from the street. Water only cold. Once the water did not flow for about an hour.
