The location directly on the lake was fantastic. The grounds are very nice with a pier and botanical gradens. The restaurant is good. It is also walking distance to other businesses. Highly recommended.

Great location and wild life.

Hotel directly on the lake. Food at the restaurant was quite ok, service was great. Room was comfy and clean.

The property is in a wonderful location. In the 60's and 70's it would have been mega. It has a number of bars, a jetty, boat houses, chalets, restaurant. It would have been a proper holiday resort in itself. It's lakeside position is incredible. Sitting under the palm roof next to the lake was great. But time has evolved. People's tastes have altered. Investment hasn't followed. There are other lakeside accommodations that are ten times the price so there must be a market. We enjoyed our stay. We had a massive room. It probably had original dust in the carpet and settee. The restaurant was a bit grim as we had to eat downstairs and the traffic noise in the restaurant was excessive. We were the only people staying that night. It feels very much that the place is almost at the end of a downwards spiral which would be a great shame. The location is wonderful - it's just a piece of faded glory now

Good location on the lake

“Beautiful lakeside hotel”

We loved our bedroom. Enormous double bed, sitting area with comfy sofa, lots of space and tasteful decoration. No fridge but we were able to buy a bag of ice from the kitchen. We hired kayaks from the hotel and had fun pottering about on the lake and bird watching. Breakfasts good. Nice restaurant area for lunch looking out over the lake.

The beds were not clean the sheets were used from before there was tons of hair in my bed….brutal!!!
