“lovely big property in a remote location”
It's a lovely big property in a remote location, although the rooms we stayed in were old it's perfectly comfortable we joined for dinner which was a lamb asado and it was very nice, I'd suggest checking the price of a bottle of wine before you order as we ended up with one more expensive than we thought!. The breakfast was fairly basic but fine for us. It is quite expensive but for what it is, but it's also remote and there's really no other options unless you go to Gobernador.

“Meh”
Excellent location to break up the long drive. More of a truck stop that costs a lot.

“Peaceful and cozy”
Everything was fantastic and exceeded our expectations. It’s off the grid so not having wifi in every corner of the place didn’t bother me. Good heating so the room stayed warm at night. The staff are so welcoming. The rooms and common areas are impeccably clean. We had 2 of the best dinners we’ve had on our trip here. One night was a lovely homely meal as we were the only people there, the next was an amazing Argentinian bbq as there were a lot more guests. Everything seemed to be made either there or sourced locally. It was delicious! Breakfast was again great. They have a couple of marked hikes on the property we didn’t get a chance to do but I’m sure they’re also good.

“A peaceful, perfect hideaway”
This is a beautiful property. It was peaceful, quiet and relaxing. The home has an old world charm and it was comfortable and exciting. The team are friendly and helpful and it was lovely to be able to sit outside in the garden and enjoy nature. The food was also fantastic. It’s the perfect hideaway and we enjoyed our stay very much.

“Expensive - $150 for private hostel room, $80 for dinner with drinks”
Charming place. Lots of character and history. Great library off living room. Rooms are clean. Dinner was at a communal table. Most guests here are international so you can expect mostly english as the common language. The hostess is very sweet and friendly. Lots of birds and a few horses to observe. I think they have a trail or two on property and a road to drive down to the river. We weren't provided any info about these, but we saw signage on our way out. Breakfast was nice. There are 5 rooms. 3 rooms are in the main building off the shared living room. So this can be loud if others are utilizing the area. The other 2 rooms are in a differently building. This building did not have hot showers. The main building did.

“Fun, instructive and very worthwhile”
Very authentic, traditional, home-style accommodation and meals, with modern conveniences on a working farm. We wanted to ride horseback and they found an appropriate range of horses and an appropriate trail to suit an 8 year-old (who had taken lessons), her father (a relatively experienced very occasional rider), and her grandfather (an antique if experienced rider who had to be helped on board), and the guide was excellent. Well worth the drive off the Ruta 40.

“Great Peaceful Place To Stay”
It was our 2nd stay at this lovely place and it didn’t disappoint – as during our 1st stay, everything was great. Thank you Maria and the team, we felt as at home. Highly recommend this place if you are travelling on RN40 to/from El Calafate or El Chalten – really great and authentic estancia to stay.

“Great location”
Perfect and very special place to stop on the way to the south (Carretera Austral to El Chalten). Nice host, very good food (dinner, breakfast) and the landscape is a natural paradise. Big recommendation!
