“Our most favorite Dominican experience”

You stay here for the experience and the atmosphere. It is very authentic, lush gardens, lots of animals, both local and wild Owner is originally from Belgium, so and so with the English, great spanish but he is great and enthusiastic. This is a private property with few houses in basically a jungle. A place to sit outside, a hammock, a pool we didn't test, a place for clothes to be hung and dried, a fridge, and an outside kitchen. The room is not overly large, but adequate, place for the clothes, nightstands. A mosquito net above the bed, which is necessary here. Absolute plus was the large water barrel that was gratis. A close by (700m) beach Delgado was very wild and great. Plenty of spaces for a walk or a run. The city itself, Las Galeras, is best reached by a car.

We had a great time at La Rancheta and really enjoyed our stay! The owners were super friendly and helpful – they assisted us with everything we needed and gave us great tips about the area. We were able to rent a scooter directly at the property, which was very convenient. Breakfast and dinner were both delicious, with generous portions and freshly prepared. We also loved the many sweet dogs and cats on-site, as well as the beautiful garden, which created a very relaxing atmosphere. A quiet and lovely beach is just a 5-minute walk away, and with the scooter, it only takes 5 minutes to get into town.

Great place with the unique spirit. There are several bungalows in a green garden. They're well separated from each-other and you can rest in loneliness. We rented the biggest house for three people including a kid, bit it can accommodate more people. The facilities are quite basic, but clean and fine for the price. There's a kitchen with all the necessary stuff but I'd recommend breakfasts that are served bu the great host and i guess the owner of the place - Ronald.

I had a great time. Grecia and Ronaldo are very kind people running the place with good vibes. The place itself is absolutely gorgeous to be completely surrounded by nature and las galeras is a pure tropical paradise to destress.

Owner is very nice, a bit crazy in a good meaning. He tried to make us feel there very welcome. We also could rent a scooter from him. The garden is beatiful, this place has a good vibe.

Ronald is one of a kind host. He really worries about his guests. One day I went for a difficult hike and it took me the whole day, so he thought I got in trouble and went on his scooter to look for me. He was ready to go all the way to Fronton Beach to save me.....Incredible! Luckily we met in the middle of the road)))) Next day when I left he gave me a ride to the main road. He also made coffee for his guests every morning and shared delicious fruit. I never met a hotel owner who cared about anything but money....This guy is a real knight! He also has lots of cats and dogs who live by his property and he takes care of them

We loved the whole concept of a proper ranch! Our host Reynard and his wife are amazing persons and treated us in such an amazing way! Also it’s perfect for animal lovers!

Very friendly service, great hospitality, a calm and peaceful place. Perfect place for individual travellers who prefer a less touristic but more original local life and easy accomo. The Playita beach is in 5 min walking distance and was very pretty and calm.

La Rancheta is a great place for those who love nature and a friendly enviroment. Ronald and his wife are great people. I have no words to describe how staying in La Rancheta made my vacations even better. The rooms are huge and the place super clean and with a rich garden! 3 lovely dogs that if they could, they would hike with you, 3 lovely cats that always chat with you. Everything perfect. I have also to thank for the other great gests that were ther, like John, from El Cabito.

Beautiful gardens, tasteful buildings, good atmosphere, pool, hammock on balcony, wooden floors in upper rooms, friendly animals, helpful owners and staff, peaceful setting. I was sad to have to leave!

We had a really bad experience with this property… we were supposed to sleep 3 nights, but we only made it for one. We had cockroaches and rats in the room that were coming through the wall that was made of stones. The idea of this place is beautiful, but it needs a lot of improvement. Also, the location is quite bad if u don’t rent a car/moto, since it’s quite in the middle of nowhere, being quite far from the town. Above all, they still charged us for the night we slept there+ some extra taxes, which it wasn’t fair since we couldn’t sleep at all.
