Overview
Located on the beachfront of Las Cuevas Beach, this small eco-hotel is surrounded by lush tropical vegetation, offering panoramic views of the Caribbean Sea and the Northern Range Mountains. The rooms at Las Cuevas Beach Lodge include air conditioning and satellite TV, as well as a private bathroom with hot and cold bath or shower. Some of the rooms also have hairdryer, fridge and microwave. Las Cuevas Beach Lodge is set on the grounds where leatherback turtles hatch their eggs, and guests can watch this phenomenon from February to August. The hotel also provides activities like fishing, diving or hiking. Airport shuttle is offered for an extra cost. Free Wi-Fi for simple text-based tasks is available, while unlimited access can be purchased for an extra fee. The on-site restaurant serves fresh, daily caught sea food and specializes in lobster. It also serves meats and Trinidadian cuisine.

“Was good but would not stay again because of the sudden increase of price when arrive”
Server was good and kind. Place was comfortable. Sea view was nice from the Porch. Was relaxing. Breakfast was good. Location across from the beach was very convenient.

“Awesome”
A little gem of a hotel in a most beautiful location. The staff give an extremely warm reception, they are super friendly, very helpful and very knowledgeable about the area and what can be done…..if they didn’t know, they knew someone who does. For example, they arranged a night watching the turtles and a guide to walk some local waterfalls. The food was out of this world, fresh and local produce cooked by chefs who’ve been cooking their whole life.

“Extremely poor”
The Owner was miserable and grumpy. The hotel locked its doors at 9.00pm, ridiculous in this day and age, especially as people go there to watch Leatherback Turtles which only come onto the beach at night. The shower broke and overflowed and in the replacement room the toilet was blocked.

This lodge is right across the street from a wonderful Las Cuevas beach. Very comfortable location if you want just to rest and enjoy the beach. As for dinner options there is practically no choice and the same - for taxi. You need to be prepared and have your taxi driver to arrange a ride. The couple that owns the lodge is just wonderful! They were so friendly and helpful, tried to arrange everything we needed! Very nice staff! The bed in the room was surprisingly comfortable! And the open terrace area is comfortable to hang out.

“It's a good place to enjoy the area from rather than in.”
The best things are the location - overlooking and close to an excellent (turtle) beach, with a decent road from Port of Spain - and the friendly and chatty staff. The highlight was just walking to the beach at night and seeing 2 leatherbacks laying.

“The location of this resort is excellent as it’s next to the beach but don’t expect a five star”
The property being located right next to beach was the only impressive thing. The tv and AC worked and they provided toilet paper
