“Nice location”
Very pleasant old building modernized for comfort, located in peaceful surroundings, only a short drive away from the city. Owner had plenty of knowledge of the local history.

Easily reachable and quiet accomodation outside Lappeenranta. Authentic and cozy Finnish house in the nature near a lake. Personal and warm atmosphere. and incredibly lovely furnitured rooms. Historical bunkers just around the corner. Friendly and helpful personel. I would recommend it 100%!

“More than met our expectation!!!!”
We stayed at Salpalinjan Hovi for sentimental reasons and visited familiar and historic places which brought back countless memories although there has been many changes and new housing while some older and historical buildings have been preserved. Lappeenranta Authorities deserve to be commended.

“We enjoyd the stay very much. The sauna was also very good.”
The flats are designed very tastefully, with an artist touch. This makes the stay very enjoyable. The house is has historic value (a previous school) and is located on the defense line (during II Word War) against Soviet Union. Thus there is historic spots to see.

Only few minutes by car from the center of Lappeenranta, quiet neighborhood, perfect for a rest. The house is beautifully renovated, has a unique charm. The breakfast was fabulous, plentiful. We will be back for a longer stay!

“Outstanding place with amazing people”
Absolutely the best place and the best owners. It is run be a married couple, and they are both literally the nicest, most helpful, friendly and warmest people you will ever met. They will help you with absolutely everything. Moreover their place is a very cozy small hotel with the highest quality of everything. Rooms are big enough and very comofrtable. You will feel like home very quickly. Location is very calm. Lots of nature around. And when you enter the main building, where reception is, you will smell an amazing saunalike wood scent. Places like that are truly worth visiting. Aboslutely 11/10!

“Love it. I would definitely live here.”
I've been here with my family for two nights. Anne and Timo are really some of the kindest persons that we've met in Finland. They welcomed us warmly, and offered us all the information about nearby natural trails, attractions in the city and along the road towards our next stop. They also kindly gave us their bikes to reach some of the nicest spots around. Their house is a beautiful mansion immersed in one of the immense Finnish forests close to Saimaa lake, but it is easily reachable thanks to the adjacent railroad and the highway, just 10 minutes from the city center of Lappeenranta. It is an oasis of peace in the nature, and the apartments are nice, tidy and soaked by the love and the spirit of the rural life. Strongly recommended.

The front desk staff is super friendly. The room is cozy and comfortable although it’s old. In general it’s clean and serve the purpose for us to have a good night rest
