Really enjoyed my stay here. Faith’s apartment felt just like home. It’s in a very calm residential part of Kilimani, close to shops and public transport. The view of the Nairobi skyline was refreshing, and having access to the pool and gym made it feel like a true retreat.

“Property is fine, but a BED BUG is a No No.”

I had arrived in Kenya from the UK on Thursday 19th December and my plan was to stay in a Hotel in town for 2 nights until my family arrived on Saturday 21st. I had arranged with the Property Manager Faith that I would arrive between 12 and 1:00pm on Saturday 21st, however we did not arrive until around 7pm that evening. Checking in was no problem and we collected the apartment key from a key safe, however at 7pm (approx.) the Apartment had still not been cleaned and was quite grubby, especially the kitchen area. I do understand that people's schedule changes, mine does frequently and I was told that the previous occupant had extended his/her stay. Fine, these things happen, we were placed in another apartment to wait and in parallel, we were offered that apartment as a permanent swap for our Booking, however the family preferred the original apartment, and we elected to just wait for the clean up. After say 1 hour approx. we were told the apartment was ready and that we could move back in, and the clean was fine, we had NO complaints, and we just chilled /unpacked, as it was now after 9pm or so. My partner and I went to bed at 11pm and after getting changed she started to re-position the pillows on the Bed and running about under one of the pillows was an insect, and a big one too. My partner shook it onto the floor and hit it with her slipper killing it. We did not know what it was until we Googled Bed Bugs and we confirmed that it was one. I personally have no experience of Bed Bugs but I do know that they don't live in singles, where there is one there a lots of others. Anyway, at that time of night, not much we can do, and we reported this to the Cleaners and the Property Manager Faith. However as a family we were really concerned about the possibility of us carrying Bed Bugs back to the UK (me) and my family back to their Home in Kenya, so we decided to check out after 2 days.

Stayed here on a work trip, and it exceeded all my expectations. The business center was convenient, and the Wi-Fi was steady, which is all I need to stay productive. The room was well-lit and had everything I needed, including fresh linens and a good shower.

It had everything we needed for a retreat—grill on barbecue area, outdoor seating, and even the little things you always forget! It was easy to settle in, and the place was very clean. Make sure to check out the local spots Faith recommends!
