Very friendly reception and located nearby the accommodation. The accommodation itself is great with two bathrooms and the kitchen is equipped enough so that it allows for easy cooking. They have a nice (and strange) DVD collection and player. It is located right next to the ski lift of Plan Peisey so you are directly on the pistes.

The location by the bottom of the Peisey chairlift and Vanoise Express cable car was excellent. A very short walk across the garden and up the cable car steps and you're on the slopes. The chalet was well equipped for self catering with lots of crockery and cutlery etc, and was reasonably spacious for the price. The Alpine Essence staff were great, and the bread delivery service that they can arrange was amazing on the Sunday after we arrived late on Saturday and hadn't had time to discover the local bakery. The arrangement of the ski pass with its extras (Express lane on some lifts!) was superb, and although the recommendation and discount for the ski rental from EkoSport was good value with great service and friendly staff, their kit wasn't the latest and greatest. Perhaps the options of a budget and a high end rental would be good. The location near to the little parade of shops was great for ski rental too, as well as the bakery and a couple of restaurants. The Sherpa superette and a few more shops were just up the hill around the corner. All nice walking distance. The ski cupboard with heated boot rack was great to help to soften the medieval instruments of torture in the morning.
