Cosy rather spacious apartment with a working kitchen. Only the fridge was very old. Great value for money and the location is superb, close to anything in Lamu.

Everyone was really kind and willing to help. You could ask and get help whenever needed (doing the laundry, advice for restaurants, means of transport, etc.) Moreover, the view from the rooftop was amazing and the architecture of the building fascinating. Definitively worth it!

Everything good, the house is beautiful and the owner is a great person. The town also is good. The only thing that I do not like is the islamic muezzin that at 5:00 am start to tallk aloud and keep talking for 40 minuts... This is very unrespectful and unhealthy behaviour.

Traditional Lamu house gave a really good feel for Swahili architecture and design.

Wonderful house, wonderful host. I extended my stay from three to four and then to seven nights, and I wished I could get back soon.

If you really loves living in authentic Swahilian House, this is the place. It used to be famous Swahilian Poet turned to studio.

The place is unique and I initially stayed for 2 nights turn out 4 night. The location is excellent short walk to the main area and the room is huge and clean. I love the roof top where I can chill with my book. Last but not least, the host Joshua is very helpful and informative.

We can highly recommend Wildebeeste Lamu to every traveller on a budget. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful and arranged pick up for us from the airport. Our room was very spacious and clean. The bathroom was separate just outside our room. There is a kitchen where you can cook your own meals, but also check out Mangrove restaurant at the waterfront for their chicken from the BBQ at night. Wildebeeste has a lovely rooftop and a garden with turtles wandering around. Great quality for this price!
