I really appreciated the fact that they use Kohler sanitary fittings in their bathrooms. The house was clean, Baya was very helpful and the lounge spaces were nicely maintained and readily available.

Baya and Omar provided exceptional service, very polite and welcoming. They seemed under-staffed and overworked. Information such as WiFi passwords and breakfast menu are not forthcoming, so guests need to request this. Breakfast was good, although it was not served on time, it was delivered to my balcony.

The Location is perfect, very close to the ocean and has amazing views from the terraces. The staff were really friendly and supportive.

It was worth paying the extra for room 1 which had a small balcony with sea views. The shared lounge areas are excellent and breakfast was very good. Staff very helpful. I would stay again.

The place is a huge disappointment. No value for money. The house felt like an abandoned place. The only good thing was the staff Peninah and Omar. Beautiful souls. What made our hearts bleed was how they had to do everything around the house. The owner should invest in employing more staff and renovate the house. We struggled to understand what experience the owner wanted the guests to have. The breakfast was mediocre. The bathroom was a joke, one couldn’t use the toilet while someone was using a shower. What a huge mess. It felt like we were backpackers and the only thing that was off was how expensive it was.

Omar and other staff 6 stars and excllent. I just felt that they were overworked and underpaid facing an impossible task of checking people in, opening the door, making breakfast and cleaning the entire place. They were both great but i think the owner needs to invest more in the property as it could be great but its average at best, quite rundown etc etc.

Fantastic stay at Royal House, primarily thanks to the excellent service and friendliness of Baya and Omar who went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. The location is great - both very central in Shela (1 min to the beach) and very quiet. The hotel is clean and comfortable, though shows some signs of wear and tear. We hope the new owners will continue to ensure its upkeep. Highly recommend.
