Overview
Located on a reindeer farm and surrounded by forest, these cottages are next to Lake Puolamajärvi, 30 minutes’ drive from central Pello. They offer free use of a lake-side sauna and row boat. A fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher is featured in all Puolukkamaan Pirtit Cottages, as well as a seating area with a TV, sofa bed and fireplace. They also include a private sauna and washing machine. Guests also have access to BBQ facilities in the garden. Fishing and swimming from a sandy beach is possible next to the cottages. The surroundings provide nice snowmobile trails, along with cross-country skiing and hiking paths. Ritavalkea Ski Resort is an 18-minute drive away, while Rovaniemi is a one-hour drive away.

Amazing stay The place is beautiful and even thought it is shared there is a lot of space and feels very intimate The host is very helpful, notifies us when aurora are visible and even helped us getting our car unstuck by calling a tractor. The kitchen is big and functional the sauna is very nice. There are many things to do in the surroundings.

Perfect location, set on a reindeer farm with plenty of amenities, Ann mari was lovely and the staff, and had the cottage warm and cozy for our arrival, provided our excursions and recommended a few local ones. She even messaged when the aurora was outside at night.. wouldn't hesitate to recommended reindeer lake resort.

“Really great get away from the big city and a winter wonderland!!”
We were able to see the northern lights here! And it was a quiet place in the woods with lots of reindeers. Having a car is the most practical,but if you buy enough food beforehand for your stay you should be good. The host is also very helpful and friendly! She offered to drive us as well!

“Good and perfect for northern lights hunters”
location - not close to rovaniemi city and took 1 hour to reach from airport to accommodation. - location is perfect if you are there for northern lights ;) perfect location. - we saw lights at the airbnb from 3am - 6am in the morning. - you do not need to go far to look for reindeer as this property has 4 reindeers :) - frozen lake nearby as well. kitchen - shared kitchen available. ( not one but 2 kitchens are there) - basic amenities (vessels basic ones, cutlery, spoons, and dish washer liquid) available. - do not expect salt sugar coffee powder to be there. you need to get that yourself. sauna - free sauna available at the property and we used it and it was nice. cabin - our cabin had 3 rooms in total with 2 shared kitchen and 2 bathrooms and sauna. - beds were ok. i wouldnt say it was perfect but good for 2 nights. host - was really helpful and nice.
