“Really nice place but I have a few suggestions for improvements”
The dorm room was really comfortable, I ended up with a double bed to myself with a mosquito net. Everything was as clean as it could be in the middle of the jungle. Family dinner was nice to socialise. Enjoyed the hammocks and kayaks.

“Would recommend, especially if you are solo travelling”
Amazing place to be amongst nature. Close to the river to relax, multiple tours on offer along with a selection of boat shuttles to make it easy for onwards travel. Staff were friendly and the food was a good quality.

Location close to the river and in the jungle is great. Mixed feelings about the staff though. A very positive impression of Dennis, who took his time to explain everything and was very professional.

Slow travel hits different, unplanned, I immersed myself in the culture, people and atmosphere of a special place called Finca Tatin, deep in the jungle, an hour lancha boat ride from Rio Dulce City. We also chugged downriver through the picturesque El Cañón del Río Dulce to Livingston, passing lodges, schools, private houses, pelican and cormoran colonies and shipwrecks, to arrive to this small, ramshackle town, on Guatemala’s Caribbean coast, at the mouth of the river, where no roads leads to it. There is poverty everywhere, and life can clearly be challenging, but there is this relaxed, Caribbean vibe and friendly and welcoming people, a haven for people fleeing oppression: especially the Garifuna and the Q’echi Maya.

Beautifully located at the river. Very kind and nice staff, food was amazing ! Bungalows seen their days and are not super cozy but location and hammock in front of bungalow is the best spot ❤️

An amazing hostel located up the Rio Finca which flows into the Rio Dulce. Having stayed at another lovely hostel close to the town of Rio Dulce, I would say this end of the river is more beautiful and unspoilt. You can take kayaks out and explore the little mangrove creeks near the hostel or venture as far afield as the Biotopo nature reserve. So many suggestions of fun and interesting things to do you could easily spend a week here!

“Great place to get into nature and away from the crowds”
Such a peaceful part of the river and we stayed at one of the waterfront bungalows. The family dinners were great, always tasty food and they catered to vegetarian too. We brought food with us for brekky and lunch. Great to be able to rent kayaks and explore.

Beautiful location on the river, very nice staff, and good food. There’s also a nice gym, free for the guests! They can arrange awesome kayak tours, and the boat from/to Rio Dulce, and Livingsyon.

Finca Tatin is a beautiful place to stay! It feels like you’re in the middle of the jungle but you’re also right next to the river. They have family dinners every night which is a good time to meet new people and the staff are soooooo nice!

“A unique experience”
The communal area is nice and the shared meal in the evening is a nice touch. The personal welcome and goodbye is nice too. The prices for food and drinks is fair. We rented kayaks go to Livingston and got their boat back which was nice. Our kids had a great time staying there.

“Beautiful hotel in the jungle next to the river”
Very beautiful place in the jungle, just next to the river. Amazing place to swim in nature (birds and all) and calm and nice activities proposed (notably the visit of the biotopo). Very nice staff, and good dinner served for everyone at once, nice moment

Was all in all a very good and feel Like Home stay for us. Great food nice Drinks. We could easy spend more days there If we had the time. Defenitely would recommend staying here
