“Hidden gem”

Its truely a hidden gem in Lampang. Beautiful garden & traditional thai style bunglow over look the river, a rural yet not far from any activity, we enjoyed the privacy & the pool as this accommodation only has 2 bungalows with no other guests. So relaxing & perfect place for rest, waking by beautiful birds singing…The Owner Eric & his wife were very friendly & helpful, gave us handful suggestions about the eatery & local attractions. All the staff were so friendly made our stay a very pleasant experience. The shower pressure was great & the blind were good in the bedrooms, the microwave, basic kitchenette & big fridge made it very handy, the family bungalow has sofa bed in the front room, 1 bunk bed in 2nd bedroom & 1 double bed in main bedroom which is roomy for some. The location was great, everywhere you go is about 10 min Grab. We would love to return in the future.

We booked a grab from the airport for 110bht and were at lampang hideaway within 15 minutes. When we got out of the cab we were met by Eric the Dutch co-owner of Hideaway who checked us in very efficiently and who explained where everything was and how everything worked. The cabin where we were staying was modern but traditionally constructed with a large verandah and extra seating area overlooking the river Mae Tui. The cabin had a large very comfortable bed, a separate toilet and showered, a kitchen area with sink, a , fridge, TV and air con. We were really happy with the level of comfort that was afforded by this stay. There was a fantastic swimming pool that we had to ourselves for the whole stay which we loved. We rented a great little scooter from Eric which was a joy to ride and reasonably priced. Tudtu was the wife of Eric and she was lovely, really kind and helpful with lots of suggestions and advice when we asked. The food from Hideaway was exceptional and although we ate elsewhere once or twice we couldn't find anywhere that was as good or delicious. The kitchen closed at 17.00 but we ordered food before which was brought to our cabin and neatly wrapped so we could reheat in the microwave and have later. Lampang itself is a delight, very clean, fairly quiet, laid back and the people so kind and friendly. There are many things to see and do in the area but on the whole we just chilled and wandered the streets, there was always something interesting to see. We loved the peace and quiet of the Hideaway and loved the sounds of the birds in the morning and frogs calling in the evening. To be honest we were bowled over by how lovely this place was. Our only regret was that we only booked for 4 nights, we should have booked 2weeks. Thank you to Tudtu, Eric and all the wonderful staff at Hideaway for making our stay so special.

“Believe me - just stay here and you’ll see 💕”

This is an absolutely delightful place to stay. The welcome we received from Tudtu (a broad, warm, genuine smile) had me sold from the very first moment. Even though they hadn’t been expecting us they made sure we were comfortable and welcomed and not inconvenienced at all while our room was made ready. The food and drink we had from the restaurant was all very tasty and good value. We hired the moped which was a great bike and in a great condition. The cabin is fairly private (only one other cabin next door) with a peaceful view of the river and the pool was clean and private also. The cabin had everything we needed including basic kitchen facilities which was a bonus. Tudtu organised our onward transport and a tour of the sky temples and national park to the north which we enjoyed a lot. I felt an air of calm and relax around this whole place which was very welcomed after the mild chaos of some of the bigger towns and cities.

The bungalow was very cute and well equipped, the pool was fantastic. It was a really moment of relaxation. The team work very hard to maintain a high standard. The cafe on sight as well as local restaurants and a 7-11 nearby were brilliant too

“Relaxing”

It was a nice little traditional teak house with a lovely porch in a tranquil setting near the river and the pool area was nice. We had breakfast once at the cafe . There was a 7/11 close by and a fantastic smoothie place which we had 3 times for breakfast. Very helpful owners.

“Wonderful Hosts and Location”

Had a wonderful stay at the Lampang Hideaway. Cannot fault it. Erik and Tudtu are wonderful hosts together with the other members of Tudtu's family. A lovely welcome for breakfast or for any meal taken in the restaurant. Food is excellent and good value. I had their breakfast every day. Nothing was too much for them to do for you. It really felt like home from home. Maybe not to everyone tastes. But if you enjoy tranquility, nature and the wonderful Thai hospitality then this is certainly the place to go. The large bungalow is perfect to relax. Sitting on the verandh overlooking the river, gardens and pool. So peaceful. If I return to Lampang I will definitely stay here again. Thank you once again for an unforgettable stay.

The Attention to detail goes on and on. The small things can really make your stay more special and comfortable. The owners are so friendly and will help with anything. The restaurant has excellent food. It's imperative you eat at thier cafe/resturant. Value for money here goes above and beyond any place iv stayed. Its clean, its comfortable, its Value for money and most importantly is a friendly place. Hope to come back.

really had a wonderful stay at the Hideaway Guesthouse. Tudtu and her Dutch husband Erik are great hosts. Tudtu is doing everything to make your stay comfortable. The food she and her family prepare is fresh and delicious, there are free bicycles to use and motorcycles to rent (thb300 per day). The guesthouse is in a quiet part of town alongside the river. In the neighborhood there are some nice restaurants that you can reach by foot and a supermarket just around the corner. The center and walking street are at 10 min bikeride. They arranged a daytrip to me with a driver so i could explore the province that was too far to go bu motorcycle. The room is very spacious, has a little area to prepare some basic food (microwave), fully equipped bathroom and a huge kingsize bed. If you visit Lampang, come and stay with Tudtu and het family! It has been amazing: I hope one day i can come back 🙏🏻

We loved this place., so beautiful. The owners/staff were amazing, really warm very helpful and friendly.. The food in the cafe was excellent. We stayed in our own little wooden house that had all the modern faciiies inside including great aircon plus a microwave, which we didnt need we ate in their cafe when we were around, The food was delicious. .The house was one of only 2 in a garden overlooking a river. Peaceful and we often had the pool to ourselves. Proper paradise stuff. It is a liitle out of the way so tranquil Nice if you don't mind cycling/walkiing as quite flat. Lampang roads are not busy. The guest house rents out bikes cheaply. . The owners are very helpful when arranging taxis and tours if required.

Perfect place to relax and have a good time in Lampang. We had the best time with the nicest hosts. They even organized the daytrips for us and had the best recommondations for food in the city. We would love to come back sometime.

The pool was fabulous, we swam in the evening and again in the morning, and with no other guests (it's for guests only), it felt luxurious. The cabin/chalet is very nice, comfy bed, hot hot shower, nice kitchenette, space to hang things, good blinds for blocking the light, and big fridge. The aircon was powerful! It's right on the river too, which is great. We met Tudtu in the morning and she was just lovely, a very kind person.

“Very remote”

- Very nice remote location (not view) and a pool. Very nice in that heat. - Kind personell and owners (if you see them, which is not a lot) - The house is very complete. So complete it feels very small and no place for your stuff or move. If you want to use the waterheather rinse it first. My first cup of tea had bleach in it.
