The breakfast was very good. French breakfast products were provided which were of a high standard and very enjoyable. A boiled egg was also provided, a nice touch. The coffee was excellent, traditionally made and not from a machine but I could have done with some milk in it. The meal the evening before was very good to the point that my wife would like to get hold of the recipie for the turkey, ham and cheese roullard we had. Cheese was also offered as an alternative to apple pie for the desert course.

The Hotel is in a very beautiful and peaceful location. It is a pleasure to spend some time there. The hosts are friendly and welcoming. We enjoyed a good meal in the restaurant and breakfast the next morning was good.

This was our second stay in this hotel. As on the previous occasion the friendliness of our hosts was very notable and welcolme. The meal was very enjoyable and reasonably priced. This is certainly somewhere we will continue to come back to.

This hotel is perfect if, like us, you love 'la France profonde'. It's simple but very, very peaceful: despite being located on a crossroads there was hardly any traffic at all, day or night. Stunning views from the terrace at the back. The patron was very kind and welcoming, he made us feel quite at home. He and the chef were able to accommodate my 'no duck for supper, please' request! If you need a restful, no-frills nightstop in the heart of the French countryside but very close to the A71 autoroute, you will not go wrong with La Croix des Bois. We will certainly return when we can.

Location was spectacular. eve from the terrace was brilliant. and also I liked that there was a set menu for dinner. it was nice quiet and cozy

Very welcoming lovely little place out of the way. Much better than a roadside motel on our way down to France. Absolutely delicious food and wine in the restaurant and very reasonably priced. The owner was a lovely man.

The owners were very helpful and nothing was a problem. Our family room was great, 2 bedrooms connected by the bathroom and toilet. the on site resurant was homely which served local yummy food. clean, beautiful Outlook at the country side. would definitely recommend
