We enjoyed our stay at Emerald Necklace. The breakfast was fresh and very delicious, accompanied by freshly brewed flavored teas that we were also able to enjoy from the kitchen that is available any time, day or night. The kitchen had a microwave and a fridge as well as a kettle and a coffee maker. Our room had a private balcony with a table and chairs. The bed was very comfortable. Toiletries were available in the bathroom. We also had access to a great little collection of old books that we enjoyed rummaging through. Anna made us feel very welcome in every way, and we appreciate her hospitality.

Such a picturesque bed and breakfast that captured our hearts. We loved the staff. Beautiful views out over the park.

“An absolutely wonderful place with a charming, cozy feel!”

I absolutely loved the convenience of the location, and Ann's excellent communication. She was very hospitable, and the tea/coffee station was stocked very well. All kinds of great flavors of tea were there 24/7. The parking area was a lovely turnaround, paved driveway with plenty of parking. The breakfast was divine! Ann made it fresh each morning with tea/coffee, eggs, bacon, hashbrowns, toast, and fruit. The dining area was so charming with lots of sweet touches. My room was spacious and had a small heater. The robes and extra blankets were very helpful since the weather was rainy and cool all weekend. I had a private balcony that would be fun if it was spring or summer. I'd definitely recommend this fine inn with 5 stars!

The whole place was lovely, the rooms are bigger and nicer than they look in the photos, the food was amazing, the staff was great, and everything was clean.

Great location and proximity to the hospital, West Side Market, and family. Loved the breakfast and tea. Anna knew I was leaving early so she put some yogurt and fruit in the fridge for me. Also, I left behind personal items and got a phone call that they would mail them. Kind and generous people run this bed and breakfast. Will return.

“Incredible, cozy first-ever stay at a bed and breakfast”

This was my first time ever staying at a bed and breakfast. I was a little apprehensive since I was traveling alone, but I felt safe and comfortable the entire time. Check-in was a breeze and the room was very clean. There were plenty of delicious tea and coffee options available upon arrival. The inn keeper’s mother was lovely and popped over shortly after I arrived to show me around and ask what time I’d like breakfast. I slept great and the room had a lovely bath tub to wind down after a long drive. In the morning, I had to leave earlier than expected. As I was leaving I popped in to the dining area to let the inn keeper, Anna, know and she was insistent that she could whip me up some breakfast quickly. She was beyond kind and the breakfast was fabulous. Some of the best waffles I’ve ever had! Anna, thank you again for breakfast and the stay. I hope to return sometime in the future with a partner for an entire weekend.

Very comfortable bed. Wide variety of breakfast items available each day. Friendly host responsive to requests. Availability of fridge, microwave and tea/coffee making facilities in common area was very welcome.

Rooms were clean and cozy. The inn staff are friendly and accommodating, making our stay feel even more homey. Breakfast was a highlight with a lovely ambience and delicious food!

“Worth booking!”

Breakfast was impressive and the hosts were sweethearts. Appreciated the fridge, selection of tea, ice to keep our water cold, and the hot coffee in the morning. :-) Also, we locked ourselves out of the room and it was a quick call/fix. Nice to visit the beach that was only about 20 minutes away.

Anna and staff were absolutely amazing. Our room was clean and cozy and there were so many teas to choose from both at breakfast and in the living room we ended up buying our favourites in the gift shop. Anna made us a from scratch breakfast every morning with a homemade baked good. Would definitely stay there again.

Anna has created a welcoming, homey, friendly place for a three night stay. The breakfast was excellent, the bed was comfortable, and the location was convenient for our Lakewood visit. The inn has a lot of character and the price was great.
