Staff were friendly and accommodating. Location to waterfront, markets, town. Good size rooms. 2 doors!! Back and front, both leading onto driveways- this was great for my 'house fire' worrier self 😀.

Subject: Formal Complaint – Unhygienic and Unsafe Accommodation I am writing to formally complain about my recent stay at Black Swan. The condition of the room was unacceptable and posed serious hygiene concerns, especially as I was travelling with my young child. The issues included: - Stained bedding with what appeared to be blood or bodily fluid - Marks on sheets consistent with possible pest (bed bug) presence - Dirty and unclean utensils in the kitchen drawer - Excessive dust and poorly maintained fixtures (e.g., ceiling fan) - Overall lack of proper cleaning and maintenance Additionally, due to the excessive dust in the room, I experienced sneezing and an itchy nose and throat, which raised serious health concerns for both myself and my young child. Because of these conditions, we felt unsafe staying in the room. We attempted to find alternative accommodation that same night by calling multiple motels; however, all nearby places were fully booked. As a result, we were unable to leave immediately and could not sleep the entire night due to discomfort and concern. The following morning, we had no choice but to book another motel at our own expense in order to have a safe and clean environment. This effectively meant I had to pay for accommodation twice due to the unacceptable condition of the original room. This experience does not meet acceptable accommodation standards and is not what I expected when booking through Booking.com. I am requesting a full refund and compensation for this stay. This facility has seen a lot of travellers and holiday makers over, I suspect, many decades. I stayed on ground floor per my preference. Carpark is immediately infront of room. It's old and very, very tired but remarkably comfortable. "You get what you pay for". Rooms are much more soundproof than your average Motel due to its Besser-brick and concrete construction. The split system was very silent. The fridge occasionally noisy. Water pressure and hot water service are excellent. Bedding is comfortable. TV screen was not big but adequate
