Overview
Situated in the heart of Lakes Entrance, Banjo Paterson Motor Inn is located next to Griffiths’ Sea Shell Museum and Marine Display on the main Esplanade road. The motel is named after Andrew Barton “Banjo” Paterson, the great Australian bush poet. It features an onsite restaurant and outdoor pool. The two-story motel and onsite are decorated with comfort in mind, with warm natural colors and minimal details with country-themed settings, reminiscent of life back in the 1880’s. All air-conditioned rooms feature a lounge area with a flat-screen LCD TV with cable channels. They offer a fridge, a minibar and tea and coffee making facilities. They supply an en suite bathroom with free toiletries and a hairdryer. Most rooms are equipped with 5-star hotel mattresses, providing guests with a luxurious sleeping experience. The property also offers a state of the art keyless entry system to provide express check-in and checkout possible. Guests can check themselves in with a pre-issued pin code or mobile app. You can enjoy the views of the Cunninghame Arm and Ninety Mile Beach. BBQ facilities are offered.

“Warm comfort”
Conveniently located on the esplanade & a short walk to the cafes, pub & shops. Could not hear any traffic. Parking spot in front of room. Keyless entry. Room was large enough with all required amenities for a comfortable stay. Had extra pillows. Comfortable bed. Clean crisp linen. Friendly staff. Has a Chinese restaurant on the premises.

“Older style but clean and friendly staff.”
This is an older style motel but is clean and has everything you need for a short stay. There was a small kitchenette with microwave and cutlery, plates and bowls. The bed was comfortable as was the arm chair. I would recommend this motel for a short stay.

The next door neighbour smoking on the balcony directly outside his room (apparently allowed by management) but unfortunately also outside the windows of our room which had been left open by housekeeping

Good size room with very comfy bed. Small kitchen area with kettle, toaster, microwave & fridge. Good size tv with local channels. Good Wi-Fi available. Lovely soft towels provided.

“I loved my stay here. As a solo traveller I felt very safe and comfortable at Banjo Paterson Inn.”
Bed and bathroom. I locked myself out very quickly after arriving oops. But the man at the office was very friendly, had a little laugh with me then let me back in which was very comforting.
