We had a lovely overnight stay at La Locanda del Cantiere in Laglio. The view of Lake Como from our room was absolutely picturesque and made the stay feel very special. The room itself was clean, modern, and very comfortable. Both the bed and the pull-out sofa bed were surprisingly comfy, which made for a great night’s sleep. Breakfast had a wide selection to choose from and everything we tried was delicious. We also ate at the restaurant for dinner and the food was top notch — fresh, full of flavour, and beautifully prepared. As we were only stopping through for one night, the location wasn’t especially important to us. There isn’t a huge amount nearby, but walking along the quiet streets beside the lake was beautiful and very relaxing. Overall, a wonderful stay with stunning views, excellent food, and comfortable accommodation.

Room was comfortable and view from balcony was amazing. Staff were really helpful especially the lady on reception who suggested some lovely places to visit and was always happy to deal with any enquiry. Property has a garage which we were able to use at no additional cost

1. After 19.00 there is a strong sewer smell around the hotel because the sewer pipes draining directly into the lake are located next to the hotel. It`s impossible to open the window. 2. The photos show a pool, but it's not available in any room except the penthouse. This wasn't mentioned anywhere upfront. 3. Parking spaces are extremely narrow. The parking spaces are extremely narrow. Part of the parking lot is littered with trash and an old, rotted car.

We really liked our room, the wiev, the breakfast, the dinners, the People working at Locanda, the peace at night, the building overall is really great arranged. Super super.

This is a very lovely hotel with a nice lakeview located in Laglio. Though it is winter season, the hotel & its restaurant remains open. The room is very spacious for 3 persons. They do have facilities like gym & sauna which we do not have time to use it since it was just 1 night. The area is very quiet & nice to explore on foot. It is mainly residential with villas around. The hotel restaurant serves authentic food from local produce. Highly recommended to try. There is a nice lakefront bakery & bar for simple meals and drinks nearby. Hotel offer free parking which is good for us. Highly recommend if you have a car. It is a central location to explore Lake Como. We drove to Cernobbio (15 mins), Como Centre (30 mins), Menaggio (30 mins), Lenno (15 mins). There are ferry services from Cadenabbia (20 mins away from Laglio) to Bellagio (no service when we were there). We could take the ferry from Menaggio to Bellagio or Varenna. Surprisingly, we only found out at check-in that the hotel is 10 mins walk from George Clooney’s villa in Como. Apparently, many people come for that reason.

This is a absolutely stunning property very modern with authentic historical touches! Spotlessly clean. Kind attentive staff! Helped us with bookings and directions even gave us a plug converter to lend as we forgot ours! What more could you ask for accept We had breakfast included which was so good! So fresh and a large variety to choose from! We also dined here for the first night as there wasn't much about and we was using public transport. The food was absolutely amazing! So good shout! The views onto the lake are literally breathtaking! Will definitely be returning in the summer!
