Beautiful location with awesome view and very friendly neighbour (a fire fighter), just outside the village, but on walking distance 10 minutes. The cottage had all what we (couple + our friend, also a couple, so 4p) needed. We were welcomed on the table with drinks, snacks and some foods and a bottle of wine. The wifi (also outside on the huge terrace) and the shower were perfect. A manual for the TV in multiple languages would be conveniant. We couldn't use it... Every evening we ate at Maria's grill house in the village. What an awesome lady she is, admirable! She has no menu to choose of, but we just asked her what she could cook for us, and every evening again it was soooo delicious and so cheap! We payed her double as she deserved it every time again. We used a rental car during our entire holidays : 8 nights in a private house in Gennadi (East coast) also awesome, and very private beach etc...) and then 4 nights at this cottage in Láerma. For escapes/day trips the cottage was a bit far away from everything. We drove to Rhodes town to explore it, and once again to get the boat to Symi island. From the cottage we also went to Kamiros archeological site at the West Coast, visited Embonas (nice little village, next to the huge mountain), Mussolini's abandoned villa in Epar.Od. Profiti Ilia, Profitis Ilias 851 06 just South of Salakos , etc... The closest shops are in Embonas (direction West, with wineries in the village) or Lardos (direction East to Lindos). No ATM in the village! E.g. cigarettes via a small machine behind a fence but not trustworthy! Our leftovers from the table we fed to the stray cats visiting us on the terrace. One time we had 11!!! of them in 1 time. The kind neighbour feeds them too. The last 50m to the cottage are very steep! But the concrete small road gives a lot of grip to the car, so no worries.... We enjoyed the peace and quietness up there a lot, far away from the touristic crowds as we prefer it.

We really loved the location - a quiet and sweet town with restaurants. The cottage was very cozy and amazing to stay in! Loved the cats roaming in the area :) We definitely recommend this cottage and it was amazing for a family of 4.

“Excellent”

Lovely quiet location. Very spacious and comfortable. This place has it all. There are a 3 little restaurants in the village, all within walking distance. Lindos is around 15 minute drive. We drove to the local beaches of Gennadi, which was quiet with a few tavernas for lunch or dinner. You are surrounded by nature and the stars are clear at night. There are a few cats with their kittens, which joined us every morning and night. ( I did feed them breakfast and dinner😀)

The place is really great. It's a big traditional greek house with enormous terrace overlooking hills up to horizon. It's located in small village only 15 minutes drive from the beach and Lardos village where you can find all shops. In my opinion George's house is awesome if you want to relax, to feel real Greece, not tourist one=), while the latter is only 15-20 minutes drive downhill through beautiful pine forests. Needless to mention that it is not so hot there on the hills as it is down, there is breeze. The hosts are very nice. Hope to come back to Laerma as time is getting slower there...
