“Staying with Helen was like staying at home!”

As a genuine backpacker this stay was like in the good old days when it was quite normale to have contact with the owners of a guesthouse. As a bonus Helen had a great book about Bob Marley. Pity I couldn’t ready it all.

Our short stay exceeded expectations - so many thanks to Helen for introducing us to St Lucia's wonders! Beautiful clean house with all amenities, great location with walking distance to everything you need, big room, quiet beaches - if we knew we'd book a longer stay and won't hesitate to have Palm View as a base for exploring the whole South of St Lucia.

We chose Laborie to start our tour of St Lucia as it was a short trip from the airport and we didn't want to travel too far after a long flight. What a great decision we made. Laborie is a working fishing village but with everything a tourist could need with places to eat, drink and buy basic groceries. The locals are amazingly friendly and helpful and we felt totally comfortable there. Palm view is a fantastic house to stay at.. Exceptional value for money. Spotlessly clean and comfortable. A 5 minute walk to a perfect beach. The owne,r Helen, couldn't have been nicer and more accommodating .She greeted us with cold beers and made us feel at home. She had loads of great advice and even helped organise our onward journey.

Friendly lady, peaceful and quiet house with good energy, absolutely clean and good organized with everything you need. 5 min walk down to the quiet beach with a very friendly and welcoming people around.🫶

What can I say, Laborie is a special place, it grows on you. The people are so nice. The owners were really friendly, helpful and discrete. Helen gave us a ride one day as we were heading in the same direction. They let us use the kitchen when needed. Comfortable bed with mosquito net. Comfortable clean bathroom. The view from the shared balcony was ok, not the most scenic view but it was nice to sit out there. I would recommend this place for Laborie, living with the locals is a plus!

Helen and Ian were fantastic hosts. I could not have been made to feel more are home. Being locals, they were a gold mine of information for all that was available to see and do in the area and for the does and don'ts in the country.
