“Exceptional”

It was such a wonderful experience as I knew it would be. Bertrand is an exceptional host whose breakfasts and dinners fit for a king. There was fresh orange juice and croissants and home made jams and a lovely selection of cheeses as breads as well as fresh fruit and yogurts and cereal. The dinner we ate cooked by Bertrand was delicious and such good value and actually nicer than the dinner we had out in the heart of bastide. He actually played the piano for us it was so unexpected and such a beautiful piece of music. He was extremely attentive and friendly. His garden is beautiful and the rooms so tastefully decorated and the bed was so comfortable it was divine. The town itself is extremely charming. We went when it was the festival so there was a lot going on. We made some lovely friends there also. We will definitely 100% return to this lovely charming town and property.

Bertrand is the perfect host, a gentleman of many talents, who took care of us with exceptional kindness and consideration.

Very helpful and interesting host

Owners were superb,the house is unique.

We had a very warm welcome and agreed that we would have our evening meal at the accommodation. The meal was really nice, and good value. We ate with two other couples, which was nice. The place is eclectic with a lot of interesting stuff. My wife really liked this, I am more utalitarion in my accommodation options, but that is me.

Our bicycles were stored securely in an outbuilding. We had the option to have dinner at La Villa des Remparts, but unfortunately had to decline because of a dietary requirement. Our room and the whole house was extravagantly decorated in the Belle Epoque style. The bedroom looked onto the classical styled garden; the bed was comfortable and we slept well. Breakfast was served at a large dining table which was sumptuously decorated and laden with a variety of foods.

Everything about the Villa des Rempart is magnifique. The owners created a unique setting and receive their guests with heartwarming kindness. The breakfast and dinner are of an amazing level. Because we enjoyed it so much, we rerouted our roadtrip through the region to re-visit on our way back.

Very ‘old France’ a beautiful building and quirky contents. A fabulous garden and very relaxing . an amazing range of jazz and classical music playing while we were in the garden. Very welcoming host. A fantastic breakfast, especially the homemade crepes .
