“Great stay”

Really nice place. Really homely. Owners met us was so nice! Really felt welcome. Room was lovely and comfortable. Highly recommend!!!!

Victor is a great host, very friendly and communicative! The bed was comfy, the bathroom spacious and the kitchen very clean and well equipped. Highly recommended for a quiet night in the centre of La Serena

“Wonderful host in a small town for easy exploration of the area”

Very good location near the bus station. La Serena is easy to explore on foot from there. The room was very cozy, complete with house slippers and bathrobe, and the common kitchen was complete for my needs. There was enough parking space in front on the streets, and because I visited during a holiday period, I didn't need to pay for parking. Victor was very accommodating and asked proactively to make sure everything was alright with my stay.

I loved this place! It has everything you need for a short or longer stay in Serena. The kitchen is very well equipped, the shower was warm and the room was big and confortable and even had a fridge. It’s very quiet and peaceful even though the place is centrally localed. And the host is amazing!

Everything was thought for- from the bathrobes, fan, heater and even slippers! Nothing was missing!

Everything was really clean. The location was close to the bus terminal (7 minute walk) and close to town. Victor was really nice and enthusiastic.

Victor is such a friendly and warm host, he couldn't do enough to help us. He walked us to the bus stop, gave us snacks, stayed to meet us and offered us a shower from our night bus although it was early for check in. The bed was very comfy and the room a nice size. Own bathroom that was separate from the room.

“A lovely place to stay”

Victor is an exceedingly friendly and helpful host (the rest of the family were lovely too). He immediately made us feel at home and made every attempt to understand our poor spanish and talk to us in very clear, slow, spanish so we could understand him! He provided us with a lot of help and information. The hostel was located on the edge of the historical centre, about 10 to 15 minutes walk from the bus station and a large supermarket, about 30 minutes walk to the lighthouse. The hostel is quite small so it's very quiet. The bedroom was very comfortable with plenty of storage, a fridge, extra blankets if needed (but a heater was provided), proper glasses for water, and a very good TV. The bathroom was very large, with a good-sized shower with hot water, plenty of towels provided, and a chair to use. The kitchen was very well equipped, the best we've come across after 15 months of travelling in S. America. Large hob and oven, smaller oven too. Kettle, blender, coffee maker, etc, and all the pots, pans, tableware and cutlery you could possibly need. Access to large table for eating.

Very lovely and helpful owners, clean kitchen and facilities. They let us use the washing machine as well. Can recommend it to 100%

Victor was so kind, welcoming, chatty and very patient with our bad Spanish! He went out if his way to help us including taking us to the bus stop to ensure we found the right bus! The room is very comfy, and the whole place feels very homely. We would recommend Victor's place to anyone staying in La Serena!
