“Great stay for La Serena”

This hostel is located in an old beautiful villa near the old city center of La Serena. The staff is really helpful and friendly here. They organizing a lot of activities like whale watching or star gazing tours. You can also rent a bike here to discover the more outside part of the city. We spent only one night here but we loved it. The breakfast is also great here. 😋

It's a cosy little hostel near the main square and not too far from the bus station and a big supermarket. The atmosphere is friendly and staff is helpful. The beds are comfortable, there are lockers and it was always clean. There's a small backyard where you can sit outside.

The dorm was very clean and comfortable. Staff was very nice and accommodating when I had an issue.

Excellent hostel. Very clean. Very friendly. I suppose I was lucky that I got a cheap upgrade to a better room on a quiet day. Very close to the bus station. If you are coming to la swrena you really must go to valle de elqui, vicuna, star gazing, downhill cycling, guayacan brewery.

Hostal El Árbol is an interesting hostel. It is located 5 minutes from La Serena's centre and the house has a nice living room, dining room and bathroom. It is just as nice as in the pictures. Unfortunately, if you book a dorm, this is not where you will sleep. There is a small shed behind the house with two rooms and 8 beds and a bathroom. It is not so comfortable and there is not much space. So if you want a decent stay, book a private room or a different hostel straight away.

Nice location, good bedrooms (although a bit tiny when all beds are occupied) and also sanitary facilities were fine. Breakfast was included and all for a very reasonable price.

Great location near bus station and town, beach was a little further to walk but still close. Tali on reception is fabulous, very helpful with advice for things to do etc. Nice breakfast. Good communal areas inside and out.

Very good location and nice room. Staff was friendly and helpful. The kitchen is quite small so needed to wait for other people to prep there meal. But good shared space
