“Tranquil haven in La Paz”

The location was great, near teleferico, restaurants, movie theatre and shops. The big garden with flowers was tranquil and beautiful. The room was big, the bed comfy and the shower good and clean. Eduardo was so helpful and caring, thank you! And Preto was always around for a tummy rub.

Rooms are basic but very nice with good beds and hot shower, the garden is very nice and quiet. Remarkable when being in the South center of La Paz, the house is a old family house with a lot of history and character. The owner Ernesto is the perfect host and can tell you a lot about the history of this great place. Highly recommended

“An oasis in La Paz!”

Everything. The bedroom and bathroom modern, the garden, the breakfast space, but overall the people. We felt so welcome and Ernesto helped us with all our questions and organised taxis etc. And the house dog, Preto (?), was so sweet.😊 The property is in a very nice neighbourhood. I csn really recommend ‘Typica’ for food, drinks or just to hang out. Would love to go back!

It's like a tardis much bigger than it looks from the outside , lovely gardens , large room at the bottom of the garden where breakfast is served with fresh juice & bread coffee etc . The bed was so comfy with the softest sheet I've felt all holiday .

We had a wonderful time at La Casa de Teresita. The hotel, gardens and our room were absolutely beautiful. Ernesto was the most amazing host, he told us about the history of the place, provided us with information and good advice about the area and what to do in and around La Paz and made us feel at home. La Casa de Teresita was a home base for me when I was grounded in LaPaz due to an eye infection. It is a mix between hotel and museum (which is the long-term goal of its owner). I was looking for a quiet, comfortable, yet not too far-out place from where I could venture day trips. After long days in La Paz and in the mornings I found quietude in its lovely gardens. The room was immaculate and the shower exceeded the standard in La Paz by far. Breakfast was great, too, with fresh juice and great coffee. If you are interested, ask Ernesto about the history of the house. It is the house of his parents, but there are a lot more interesting facts to learn about it. There are many exhibits and art that not only relate to his family, but also to the history of Bolivia. It really is an exceptional place to stay at and I greatly enjoyed it.

The house has a very interesting history and is full of beautiful objects. There is a lovely sunny garden, the breakfast was ample with endless cups of real coffee. Most of all, the owner couldn't have been more accommodating. He made a big difference to the stay and clearly enjoys making his guests happy. He was full of good tips and helped us navigate the city including the cable cars.

Mr. Gamarra is the most excellent host ever. He was thoughtfull, helpfull and very kind and helped us with our trip to Uyuni. Great location too. Quiet, but close to nice restaurants and the city center. Very nice and fresh breakfast, made by a lovely lady.

Amazing historical property, feels like stepping back in time with its grand hall and artefacts. Ernesto is brilliant and really goes above and beyond to help out. Rooms are lovely, good hot showers etc.

The location is perfect walking distance to many bars and restaurants…Value for money is exceptional I truly had a very pleasant stay and highly recommend this property for anyone staying in La Paz.

Lovely old historical house. Really nice room with a comfy bed and great shower. The place was quiet at night and had a lovely garden with resident puppy called Preto. Breakfast was acceptable (see below) and the breakfast staff were super friendly and kind.

“Wonderful stay, a slice of history and peace in La Paz!”

The staff are kind and helpful. The rooms are clean and quiet and the shower has good pressure and is warm. It has a historical theme and even has a museum in the large house… worth seeing for a slice of Bolivian history. Nice local style breakfast.

Beautiful boutique hotel with comfortable, modern rooms and very friendly staff! Excellent value for money too. Highly recommend.

“Best place to be !”

All in all its the perfect place to be and we had a wonderful stay which felt like a second home ! Its close to the City Center and the witches market. Its a quiet, clean and nice place to hang around as well. The dog who live in the garden is soo lovely <3 The house itself is an old Villa with a long history and it is prepared like a Museum with some QR-Codes The owner has a lot of useful Infos for you dtay in La Paz as well :)

Very beautiful house. Nice garden, traditional house. Owner can speak very good English and give advice about the tour. He will draw you the map of the cable and the attractions.
