“A truly exceptional stay in a beautiful old villa with wonderful welcoming hosts”

Our stay at Suites de Franchy was exceptional. This is a small, family run B&B only open for a small portion of the year. It is a beautiful old villa wonderfully decorated with antiques. Our room was just lovely. Each morning breakfast is served in the elegant common area, and one can sit outside to eat in a pretty patio - resting in the shade, looking up at the snow capped Mt Teide as the water fountain trickles behind you. The gardens and pool are a special, peaceful place to relax in the sun. The house is perfectly placed to explore the magical little town of La Orotava. And with the a local tavern and pizza place just adjacent, life is made is easy for those with a small family! A wonderful time, and the family who run the hotel are all incredibly welcoming and generous in their hospitality. Could not recommend highly enough.

A secret escape. Despite the rain (typical for us!), the luxury of room and house made it a memorable trip. Wonderful breakfast. Lovely people. Fab restaurants right next to house. Booking to return..

The building itself was really lovely – beautifully furnished, spotless, clean, and comfortable. But the standout was the warm welcome from Mita who rustled up a meal from nowhere for us, and from Conrad who was charming and helpful. Made for a delightful stay. Highly recommended.

Wonderful house and very welcoming host

A truly amazing place to stay owned by a charming family with history and traditions. You feel like a dear guest. The breakfast is great, the rooms and the common areas are elegantly decorated and impeccably clean.

“Exceptional place and atmosphere”

The house and garden with all their details were beautiful attractions in themselves and the atmosphere in the house was very different to any of our previous stays elsewhere. The hosts Laura and her mother were not only helpful but let us feel as if we and the other guests would be part of the family. The house and surroundings are very peaceful, but still practically in the middle of La Orotava. Views are great. Breakfast was good and – as everything in the house – esthetically served.

Very beautiful, old house Lovely breakfast with good cheeses, charcuterie and fresh fruits with yogurt. Excellent location. Huge, comfy bed. It's easy to park your car next to the house. Good Wi-fi. Drinkable tap water.

Breakfast was beautiful. Everything you could want provided and served with a smile! There is a lovely heated pool. The historic town with Cafe's and restaurants is within easy walking distance though a car is useful to get around and explore the town of Puerto de la Cruz and beyond.

we didn’t actually get there (had to cancel at very short notice because of Covid). It was too late to get a refund, but Conrado was as helpful as he possibly could be in writing a letter for the insurance company. And done with such a charm. ….

“Fabulous”

A beautiful property tucked away near the centre of La Orotava and easy to park the car. We took the top suite so we had our own terrace with views of the city and Mount Teide. It was worth the climb up the stairs to reach the apartment and was lovely coming back to the privacy of the terrace each day. The house is surrounded by beautiful gardens and the birds seemed to sing all day - it was wonderful. we love the song of the blackcap and they constantly delighted us. The bed was exceptionally comfortable. Breakfast was excellent. Conrad sent us a list of recommended restaurants and booked us into a couple which was also very useful.
