Such a stunning hotel - like stepping back in time to when smaller hotels thrived more often. Amazing, friendly staff, beautiful rooms, a lovely breakfast and it’s all nestled in a seriously pretty area.

Location perfect. Allocated parking. Friendly, knowledgable owners and staff, beautifully decorated, spacious and clean. Large en suite bedroom with fantastic views. Self serve, all you can eat breakfast plus small room where you have access to free tea and biscuits all day/night Beautiful private garden and pool 10 minute walk to historic centre and visitors centre (which is free of charge admittance and definately worth a visit)

“Classic townhouse for few guests”

Outside like a French mansion, inside with mauric influence, this hotel has spacious common areas for only 5 guest rooms. The view from our room was incredible: snow-covered mount Teide, city of La Orotava and the Atlantic Ocean. Our room was spacious with a large wardrobe, and the bathroom was very large. In the common area there are coffee and tea makers available always, and deck chairs are available for sitting outside. Breakfast (served 8:30-10:00) offered a large choice of high-quality products. We always got one of the 3-4 parking spots beloning to the hotel directly in front of it. Several good restaurants are within 7-10 minutes walking distance.

A beautiful historic Canarian House, with many original features. The guests rooms are large and comfortable with excellent views and fantastic bathrooms. Mini Bar is priced as you would pay in a shop or bar. Breakfast is excellent, continental with a large selection to help yourself from , Chemex coffee served at the table with hot milk. There are a number of areas around the house for guests to relax in all furnished in period style. The staff are all fantastic, take great pride and care.

“An absolute gem of a place.”

The breakfast was absolutely first class , a wide range of food items on offer , freshly squeezed orange juice , delcious selection of breads and pastries and always a freshly baked cake or muffins . Coffee excellent too. In addition very much appreciated being able to use the garden room to make tea at any time. The tiled bathroom was something else . We loved the Moorish tiling. Above all though we felt the welcome was truly exceptional and very personal.

The most beautiful place we ever stayed in. It feels like living in an actual museum. The room was comfortable, they served a very tasty and diverse breakfast and the staff was very friendly. Can’t recommend this enough. It truly made our honeymoon feel special.

The hotel is centrally located. It breathes a moorish atmosphere: grandeur and peace, art and light. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Tip: our room (Tenerife) had a large bathroom with a super large bath!

“Best spot in La Orotava old town”

This has been one of the most pleasant and charming experiences I can recall, and a perfect escape from the mass tourist farms of South Tenerife. Alhambra is perfectly perched in La Orotava old Town, super close to restaurants and sights, and beautifully decorated following the architecture of Granada's same name monument. It's a family run business with just a handful of rustic rooms that are cozy, clean and neat, while also offering beautiful views of the town and Mount Teide dominating the skyline (though it's usually cloudy in the afternoon). Special thanks to Jessica who prepares delicious breakfast every morning. Everything went smoothly with check in and check out. Definitely want to visit again!

Beautiful building, relaxing inviting and special. Everything was perfect, great condition for an old and well looked after property in a quiet location with private car parking on the door step.

We loved this beautiful historic hotel. Our room was bright, spacious and very comfortable with the most amazing bathroom. The staff were very welcoming and helpful. It has a perfect location for exploring the lovely historic town of Orotava. We hope to return.

“A grand hotel close to historical buildings, and in driving distance of multiple national parks”

Stunning! The whole experience of staying at the Alhambra is very special. It’s better than it looks in the photos. Beautiful natural materials used in the fabric of the building, the detail in the finish, the art work - it’s all real, and very grand! We had a pleasant continental breakfast each morning. We enjoyed views of Teide and the nice old buildings of La Orotava from our room. We arrived via the Teide National park, and went on to explore the hiking trails of the national parks to the west and east during our stay. On our final day we explored the town of La Orotava by foot and found botanical gardens, museums, cafes serving traditional food, plenty of history - lovely stuff!

This is a charming hotel of the genuine Canarian style, located in an excellent position, a bit off the major tourist itineraries in Tenerife. We strongly appreciate this comfortable place, and above all, the friendly staff, who was so careful to our needs and provided us with some useful details, curiosities, and even a tasteful sample of the real "roscon de reyes" for the 6th of January. The "explicacion" of the paintings of the local artist, Maestro Otazzo, was an excellent opportunity to realize that we share similar views and anxieties across Europe. And last but not least, the memory of the stunning morning view from the window in our room, is something that will always make us smile, even in the middle of the North-European winter :)
