“Confirmed booking canceled upon arrival”
We booked the apartment and received the booking confirmation. Upon arrival and calling the host, she told us that the apartment is not available as it was booked by someone else. She mentioned that we have not payed in advance however it was indicated to be payed by cash at the apartment. After stating this to the host, she explained we should have called after booking to confirm. This was not indicated anywhere. We were lucky to have a local friend who supported us to clarify. The host offered us a 1 bedroom apartment in a completely different district which is not safe and about 20 min away by car, which wasn’t an appropriate alternative. We finally contacted booking.com who confirmed that everything is fine with our reservation and that it’s valid. We have not received and further feedback or help from the host and stayed in a hotel. To sum it up, we were very euphoric to stay at the apartment and quite disappointed at the end. It was hard to contact our host and to clarify the situation. We were standing in front of the accommodation and without our local friend we would have ended up waiting outside on the street for any news. I took us the whole afternoon and we had to take care of it ourselves to find an appropriate alternative where we could sleep. This was not the start of our vacation we were expecting.

“Worthy stay and perfect Location”
The location and the rooftop. The host was helpful. The flat and furniture design were very stylish.
