Central location in town, free decent breakfast, friendly staff and surf lessons through the lodge which was great. There were lots of reviews around noise so we messaged in advance to ask for a quiet room and we didn't have any issues so this wasn't a problem for us. Lots of hammocks to chill in also

“Good stay in El Tunco”
We stayed in a double room with private bathroom. The size of the room was good, and it's located on a great spot, very close to the beach. The hotel provides many places to chill outside, also near the pool.

“Satisfactory for the price, great location”
Otto at reception was super friendly and helpful & gave us great recommendations! The breakfast in the morning is basic, but good it’s free & the location is perfect, right in the heart of town / restaurants etc.

“Wouldn't recommend”
The room was very clean and the staff were fantastic very friendly and always somebody about. Breakfast was good and included which is always nice! Aircon is good. Really good central location. Good range of boards to hire at a competitive rate.

“Great Location & Comfortable Stay in El Tunco”
Great stay at Papaya Lodge - My private room was clean, comfortable, and had air conditioning and a private bathroom. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the included breakfast was a nice bonus. The pool, second-floor hangout, and hammock area made it a great place to relax. Filtered water and a shared kitchen were also provided, which was a nice touch. The location was excellent for exploring El Tunco.

“If you’re traveling alone, STAY HERE”
The atmosphere and clientelle is awesome. Staff is helpful, does also speak English. Private room is very nice, with nice bathroom and functioning AC. Location is great.

“Quick walk to the beach at a decent price makes this worthwhile.”
Location was pretty great and the value was top notch. Very short walk to the beach. I parked my car at the other Papaya hotel in Surf City which no one seemed to have a problem with. Room was pretty spacious.

Perfect location in El tunco, so convenient for surfing, going to the beach and restaurants/ bars. Very sociable. Clean room. The pool area is great in the day to hang round and meet people.
