In my experience, the quality-price ratio is really good; everything is in order, everything is clean, everything works very well, the information is very detailed, and I really recommend it for anyone who wants to enjoy being here.

Nice, cozy room within the property of Alma Hotel. Friendly staff and the owner are also very friendly, punctual, and great in communication. All in one, I can't find a single point to complain. Worth its money.

“Nice apartment in a beautiful resort, but mind the noise.”

Located inside an all inclusive resort, you get to use the pools and the shared spaces. Several pools with salty and fresh water, grounds clean and well maintained. However, you have to enter/exit through the employee's entrance and you need to pay for all restaurants on site (which makes sense). This feels a bit strange as everybody else has a bracelet and they get everything included everywhere. During my stay, I didn't see anyone else without a bracelet. I am not even sure how the employees would have reacted to an ''outsider'' so I opted out to eat at restaurants outside the resort. Great local food on the small ''central'' street of Dominicus. I have to say that the all inclusive food that people were eating did not seem appealing to me. Population in the resort was mixed, with many Argentinians, Caribbeans, and to a lesser extent Americans and Europeans. The room was spacious and comfortable and it had everything you may need for a nice stay.

The place

Very spacious apartment, equipped with everything you need. In a nice complex, where you can use umbrellas, sun loungers, animation for free. From the terrace you can watch beautiful sunsets! 10 min walk to supermarkets, restaurants, shops, a wonderful public beach. The owner Suzana is the best host, kind, warm, ready to help with everything. Thank you, Suzana! We will be back

The place was very spacious, aircon was powerful, full kitchen with big fridge and everything I needed. Miguel and Susana are very friendly and accommodating, also vey helpful with tours and recommendations. Can't recommend them enough

A beautiful secluded complex with access to all pools, sunbeds and activities. The service is friendly, it was nice to talk to Miguel and Susana. Susana was friendly and used a language translator to explain everything about the complex. She also helped us stay longer in this place.

“Beautiful end of December”

The apartament is very spacious, clean. The resort is amazing, with 4 large pools, gym, plenty of beach space and excelent entertainment every evening! The apartament has a mosquito net when opening the terrace which is great to get fresh Air inside without being worry about mosquitos entering. I also liked that there is a grocery store with everything you need only 10 minutes walking. The owner let me keep my luggage until 6 pm at her place on the day of my leaving which was very helpful!

“Book immediately”

The apartment is part of a hotel so you have everything that the hotel has the only difference is that they have good included and you don't. Is better that you don't because the food quality that we were seeing was terrible. But also on that note bayahibe village has not many options but at least the food is very good. The room is very good and spacious. Dominica beach is 10-15 minutes away, so you can have beach and pool experience booking here.

Very nice environment, we were in an apartment, which is located together in the hotel area. It is possible to use all services for payment in hotels. It is close to the swimming pools and three of them are filled with sea water. The fourth is freshwater. Nice umbrellas, a sufficient number of sunbeds on a sandy base. Since the hotel is on a rock, there is no classic sandy beach and the entrance to the sea is via stairs. However, this does not detract from the attractiveness. Parking outside the building is charged 24 hours a day.

“Nice spacious apartment, with use of Whala! resort facilities. Great base for exploring the Bayahibe”

The apartment is nice and spacious, has a well equipped kitchen with good set of pans, glassware and utensils. The internet connection was really stable and quite fast due to fiber optic connection to the ISP. It came as a bonus to us that we could make use of all facilities of the Whala! Resort (except for the food and drinks obviously); we enjoyed some of the shows and dancing events organized by the animation team. Various large swimming pools, mostly with salt water (big +++); but we preferred to go snorkeling in the crystal clear water of the Caribbean Sea, accessible via platform with stairs. The balcony provided a nice private outdoor space, with a glimpse of sea view and overlooking a nice wild/uncultivated piece of nature.

The place is very good and safe. Security guys are 24 hours a day in front of the main gate. Inside the areal are amazing swimmning pools with sea water, which is very clean and well maintained. There is as well Jaccuzi with sea water. Amazing views to the sea from the swimming pools, bar and restaurant on place. In the private area is located a shop with souvenirs, cosmetics and some other things you may need and in this shop is ATM for cash withdrawal, which works well and is safe to use. In the room was prepared big barell of water (as the tap water is not drinkable in Dominican Republic) and it was no problem to order another one when we consumed the water. This was very cheap and good drinking water, if you go to the shop for bottled water, it is very expensive. The public beach Dominicus is not far away, about 15 minutes walking. But don't forget to take some drinks and food to the beach, there is nothing to buy at the beach (only some souvenirs). Generally, this apartment was very fine, we enjoyed our stay. The room was spacious and in a good environment around with palms, trees. birds, cicadas, lizards (some of them were "visiting" our balcony as well :-) nice nature, But this place and way of accomodation is not suitable for everybody. If you like silence, clenliness, privacy (in front of the balcony is the path where sometimes other people walking aroud as it is the ground floor), it is not for you here. For us it was generally very good place and we liked it.
