During the night it was really cold and couldn't sleep but apart from that all perfect.

It’s a really nice place up on the hills and within a forest. Quiet, private, clean and easily accessible by car (via a bumpy dirt road). We definitely enjoyed staying there!

We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful stone cottage in the forest. The house is very spacious, tastefully decorated and built with great attention to detail. Everything inside is both stylish and functional. I was especially impressed by the kitchen. It is perfectly equipped with everything you could possibly need. Opening the window and seeing the forest right outside was simply magical. The area is peaceful and quiet, and we loved watching the little lizards running around- so charming! Everything was spotlessly clean, and honestly, there is nothing to complain about. The covered terrace is a fantastic place to enjoy meals and relax, the beds are very comfortable, and overall the cottage provides all the comfort you could wish for. I completely fell in love with Monte Frío. It’s a truly special place.

“Walking and birdwatching in Montefrio”

We loved it all. Our host was helpful and friendly We loved the authentic rustic house with its modern facilities. Plenty of space, a well equipped kitchen with one less wine glass! Oops. Lots of hot water and great shower pressure. The gardens were a delight. We loved watching El Teide change colour from the balcony. We watched the bats at night and listened to the woodpecker in the morning. We walked from the house straight into the pine forests. We spotted blue chaffinches. We enjoyed breakfast on the terrace. We hope to return.

Absolutely amazing place, beautiful house among trees and palms, 10 minutes by car from the ocean. Balcony and terrace, internal fireplace, two bathrooms. Peace and quiet, the perfect place to relax. If this house was for sale, I would have bought it at this moment.

This is a brilliant location! It has been renovated in a comfortable and sympathetic way. It sits in a large, secluded area which is a total paradise to those who do not get nervous being isolated at night. If it was for sale, I would not hesitate to buy it, it is that good. You could stay there any time of the year and it would be comfortable as it has lovely open fires. We are thinking of booking it for a family gathering, it has three bedrooms and lots of space inside and out. I love this place and have no hesitation in recommending it to anyone who prefers the North of Tenerife to the South.
