“Did not like the breakfast selling strategy”
When applying search criteria on Booking.com, the hotel is advertised as "breakfast included"; however, this breakfast only contains some foods that are typically included in the concept (bread, bananas, melon, papaya, coffee, sugared cereal). Anything additional that is desired apart from this menu is offered as a list of "extras" and sold to the guest. These "extras" include foods that are typically expected in any hotel in the world as part of breakfast such as eggs, orange juice, plantains, and in the case of Honduras, tortillas. The strategy of selling breakfast to the client, when it is already included in the rate, was in my opinion not transparent. Apart from bad practice from quality management perspective (I am engineer), in my particular case I have food restrictions for health reasons, which prevented me from eating things like the ones "included" and led me to have to buy the "extras" (egg, tortilla, for example). This was unfair and disgusting
