“Little Oasis on La Digue”

Myrna was a wonderful host & the room was fantastic. Secure, gated property on a quiet side street close to the ferry landing & amenities. The unit was thoughtfully decorated & immaculate. Good wifi, comfy bed, and Myrna was happy to store our luggage and allow us to use a dedicated shower room after check out. We rented very good bikes for 150 SCR pp per day. We were very comfortable here & wished we could have stayed longer!

Initially we planned for 3 nights but later extended it to 4 nights and that was the best decision of our trip. The island of La Digue is beautiful and 4 nights helped us explore the full island at a laid back island pace on a bicycle and Oceane Self Catering was the appropriate place to stay being near to the most happening part of this island, very near the ferry, money exchange, banks, cycle rentals, bakery, supermarkets. bars & restaurants. Myrna is the life of Oceane Self Catering, very welcoming and ready to help you with anything right from renting bicycles to money exchange, she knows the island in and out. To sum it up we had a wonderful stay and honestly missing the laid back island life now.

“I had the best time”

The host Myrna was exceptionally kind and helpful. She arranged a bike for me for 150 SCR per day to be able to see the whole island. The location was perfect to explore, the ferry was right around the corner so even with the heavy suitcase it wasn't a problem to reach it by foot. It is located close to all the action, but since the island is car-free it is also really quiet. The apartment itself is well-equipped, beautifully decorated and also very clean. I arrived a little early, but Myrna was able to make an early C/I possible. My ferry also left in the afternoon and I was able to leave my luggage there for safekeeping while I enjoyed the last few hours on La Digue and to take a shower and change in a separate room after!

“Memorable stay in La Digue”

The best part of our stay was Myrna. She was the most helpful and welcoming host. She arranged the rental bikes for us in no time, made sure the AC was fixed when we had a problem with it and gave us suggestions of what to do in La Digue. The apartment (apartment 3) was a good size for 2 people, with a separate kitchen, a bedroom with AC and a big bathroom. It also had a little lodgia with an eating table with chairs and two lounge chairs. The location was great, it was walking distance to many bars / restaurants and a short bike ride to Anse Patates (10-15 mins), Anse Source d’Argent (15-20 mins) and Grand Anse (25 mins).

Spacious room, great bathroom, close to ferry pier and some restaurants in walking distance. Very nice owner, takes care of you and everything else. You feel like at home.

We had the most wonderful stay at Oceane Self Catering in La Digue! From the moment we arrived, Myrna made us feel so welcome — truly the best host you could ask for. The apartment was spotless, beautifully maintained, and had the loveliest fresh scent that made us feel instantly at home. Everything was new, in perfect working condition, and clearly prepared with great attention to detail. The bed was incredibly comfortable, making it hard to leave in the mornings! If you’re looking for a place that combines comfort, cleanliness, and warm hospitality, Oceane Self Catering is an absolute gem. We would go back in a heartbeat.

The sisters taking care of the property were absolutely amazing and incredibly friendly. They were always willing to help and go the extra mile. Our room was huge and so beautiful — a mix of modern style with older local furniture, which gave it a very special charm. It was spotless, and since my partner and I are a bit obsessed with cleanliness, it was perfect and fully approved! The entire property was gorgeous and had such a chill vibe. We especially loved having our aperitif in the garden before dinner while watching the birds.
