“Worth of Money Good stay”

The owner is so so so kind, to make me feel safe stay. He even provide juice for me. Can feel deeply in heart he is a good person. The room is big with many facilities, tables and sofa chair. Clean bathroom, fridge, kettle. One Most Important to mention, he is using good electronic appliance, good brand and quality, not like other, only use basic ones for room rental.

Gerald is very welcoming & helpful, his place is spotless and the little touches made it even better: tea/coffee, fresh mangos and cold bottled water/juice as a gift on arrival. There is bicycle parking and he was kind enough to allow me to leave my things and to make use of the outdoor shower to wash off the salt long after I returned from the beach in the late morning before my ferry back to Mahe (I had already vacated the room). I thoroughly recommend My Angel.

We were warmly welcomed to My Angel by Gerard, who built the accommodation himself! We were delighted to find fresh fruit and coconuts with orange juice to help make our arrival on La Digue as pleasant as possible. The facilities are outstanding, with every detail thoughtfully planned by Gerard and tended to behind the scenes. He also has bikes available for hire at a very reasonable rate. Meeting Gerard was a highlight for us, sharing stories and absorbing his sunniness - he is such a warm and considerate host. The bed is huge and bathroom has everything you need. There is plenty of space outside for relaxing and a cold shower in the garden for washing sandy feet. The area surrounding My Angel is lush with vegetation, birds, and within easy reach of all amenities. We recommend the Reggae Bar and La Repaire beach bar! Cycling to the main attraction of Anse Source D'Argent takes only a few minutes. For anyone interested in wildlife, there is a mangrove a few minutes walk away from the chalet. My Angel is a home away from home.

First, we really liked and appreciated the kindness of Gerad, who was empathetic and supportive with us and our situation with some changes in the trip that affected the stay at his accomodation. This is a family business where everything is done with heart and good will. We stayed at mango House/Room. We loved the house and its amenities. It is very comfortable and well-planned, which makes you feel at home. The location is good, it's very close to l' Estate Union, where is Anse Source d'Argent (most famous beach in La Digue) and considering that in La Digue you move with bicycles, which you can rent there as well, you can go everywhere easily and enjoy the island.

How to answer this when he didn’t let us stay at the property

The man on the recepion told us he doesn t know about our booking. No sorry, no try to help. Just - you need to find another place, i know nothing, this is a problem of booking. He didn t look surprised or upset. I think he just decided to give our bookings to people who came for more nights. And looks like he does it often, just a normal think that people come and he says them to go away

I don't have enough words to express my gratitude to Gerard for the wonderful welcome, the treatment of my wife and I as our closest people, and the wonderful house in which we experienced the incredible spirit of La Digue. We travel a lot in this wonderful world, but this is the first time we have met such a host, and I doubt that such a price-quality ratio could be found anywhere else!!!

I’ve been travelling for a long time, almost 20 years…Gerard the owner is the most humble and friendly being! You have a very close location to the most instragrammable beach Anse Source d’Argent (<800m)! You can reach the down town for delicious takeaways or some nice spots for drinks and bites in less then 10mn on bicyle. Gerard is a very very very handy person, he booked our taxis back and forth, booked for us the bicyles, helped to event wash our clothes! Feeling so grateful to this man!

The owner is a fantastic person, very warm, helpful and accommodating. Place is spotless clean and well equipped, location is great and quiet with beautiful garden.
