Lovely stay in lovely appartment with lovely family. Beautiful garden full of life. Host arranged bikes for us for really good price. Close to groceries and takeaways by bike. Secluded, quiet place. Possibility to have big drinking water dispenser for small fee.

Amazing accommodation, so beautiful and clean, in a quiet setting with much greenery around. Mera, the host, was so kind and friendly, she helped us with everything we asked and the communication was perfect before and during our stay. The small terrace is soo beautifully decorated and it was the perfect place to have breakfast and dinner every day! Kitchen is fully equipped with everything one might need for cooking, the bathroom is very spacious, room was cleaned every day. There is a shop nearby, bikes can be rented from the property and they also offer a place to shower and change after check out if guests want to spend time at the beach. Was a lovely place and we will return here for sure if we’re back on the island.

“The best place to stay in La Digue!”

From the communication before our arrival to ensuring we had a taxi from the harbour, to arriving to find water and a fully stocked applianced kitchen, this apartment was wonderful!! Mera is absolutely amazing, she made sure we were comfortable the entire stay. The apartment was so clean and had little amenities such as soap, beach towels, a safe, an iron and bikes for rent, which are essential in La Digue. The kitchen has everything; toaster, microwave, kettle, water dispenser, oven, stove, fridge freezer, grill, plates and cutlery, and even food storage containers. The location is perfect, 5 minute walk from the town where you'll find the harbour, shops, exchange, pharmacy and many restaurants. Mera is a lovely host with a fabulously decorated apartment and she helped us book our ferry tickets to go back to Praslin and we will definitely be coming again to Chez Mera when we visit La Digue again.

“Cosy accomodation I n La digue”

The place was very clean, air con worked well, hot water was very hot. The owner is very friendly and her twin babies very cute. Good value for money and good location.

“Paradise!!!”

The accommodation itself is located in a calm part of La Digue in a well maintained garden. 800 m from the Port, and close to nice beaches. We had a huge apartment with two bedrooms (in both AC), a spacy living room with a ventilator, the kitchen, a bathroom, two toalets and nice big terrace. The flat was absolutely clean and equipped with everything what we needed, including a strong Wifi. But the most amaizing was the hospitability of the owner Mera! Not only she was ready for us the whole our stay and ensured everything what we asked for (functional bikes for 100 SRC a day, 13 littres barel of water for 65 SRC, taxi from/to the port for 150 SRC), but she was so possitive, pleasant and open minded, that we felt like being a part of her family or close friends. We travel a lot, bud this was our best experience ever! We are hundred percent sure that all guests feel like in a paradise at Chez Mera! Our holiday on La Digue will be a memorable forever for us. Thank you very much, Merra!!!

“A place to return many times.”

Great place, great host, and great location. Mera is very attentive to details and nice person. Just ask her to adjust the breaks of the bikes if you’re going there and lights on not to step into the snails outside.

“Wonderful”

It was clean and very spacious. There are air conditioners in the bedrooms and a fan in the living room. Mera was waiting for us. The kitchen is fully equipped. There is a water dispenser and for 65 SCR you can order 5 liters of water. The rooms and bathroom were very spacious. Outside, we had a terrace with a dining table and deckchairs, which we could not use because it was very warm and stuffy. The yard of the house is beautiful, everywhere is green and there are flowers, it is very clean. There is a cooling shower outside. It was cleaned every day except Sunday. In the end, we also received a gift, which was very kind from the host. Calendar for 2025 with beautiful photos from La Digue. The calendar was packaged very beautifully and personally signed by Mera. We had a great time, it was off season and it was very peaceful.

Mera is a very nice and helpful host, very clean rooms, close to centre and beaches. La Digue can be easiest accessed by bike which you can also get from Mera.

Mera is very friendly and helps by anything. The apartment will be cleaned every day. Good location, short walk from the main street and shops and restaurants and takeaways. We could let our luggage at the reception after checking out until our departure late afternoon and use the shower. For any concerns, just ask Mera, and it will be answered.

“Had a lovely stay despite torrential rains”

The house we had was bigger than I expected. Our host was very kind and allowed us some water that was left over from the previous people. The appartment was clean. Everything was neat. Our host was so kind sharing fruit in the garden and educating us about things. I also felt awful as I broke a glass jug and she said it was ok. She is very friendly and helpful.

“Quiet, comfortable, central place”

Lovely, quiet place. Very central location to explore all parts of island by bicycle (for rent on property). Wonderful host Mera who up-graded us to the two-bedroom apartment. Very nice, comfortable new apartment with well-furnished kitchen and patio.

Set in beautiful gardens and lush vegetation, you can't not love this little self-catering apartment. Mera was a fantastic host and made us feel right at home after a very long flight. We were greeted with a cold drink, which was very much needed. Nothing was too much trouble, and we absolutely loved the accommodation.
