“A perfect stay in absolutely delightful rooms”

Everything was just perfect - the decor and fittings were gorgeous, everything was spotlessly clean and comfortable, the location was quiet and in the heart of historic La Charite, Emmeline was such s lovely host. 100% recommended!

“Exquisite property 😍”

We booked this for 1 night travelling around France and it was excellent. I cannot fault it at all. We parked in one of the rwo parking spots outside the house but there is other parking close by. Emmeline our host met us at the property and explained everything for us. On entering the hallway we knew this was something special and has been so lovingly restored by Emmeline and her boyfriend. The quaint little kitchen has everything you need and is so beautifully decorated. The spiral staircase to our top floor room is exquisite and like everything else in the property has been beautifully restored. Our room had a vaulted ceiling creating the illusion of space but still maintained the character of the property and the bathroom which was just across our private landing was so quirky. The bed was comfortable with beautiful bed linen and pillows. Everything in this house is immaculate and spotlessly clean. Fantastic location to explore the town. Views of the Loire River from the Ramparts are only a few minutes walk and worth seeing. I would not hesitate to recommend or stay here again 😍😍

Absolutely everything was perfect. This was by far the nicest place we have stayed in on our trip so far. Our only regret is that we couldn't stay longer. Emmeline has done a fantastic job with the apartment decor. Loved it! Emmeline was quick to reply to any communication and suggested a nice place to eat. She was able to store our bikes overnight. The apartment was very easy to find and right in the town centre. We recommend Emmeline's apartment 100%. Anyone staying there won't be disappointed.

Stylish rooms with a lot of nice touches to make you feel at home. There is a great view from the window into the town square and there are lots of places to eat on the doorstep.

Emeline was a superb host. Met us, showed us where to store our bikes and showed us around her property. She also arranged a meal for us, luckily, she knew the proprietor, as it was a Monday, everywhere else was closed!! Delicious it was too. Beautiful property on 3 floors, own bathroom, albeit not en-suite, but not a problem. Shared kitchen downstairs. In the centre of the town, on the EV6, so very convenient for us. She also spoke very good english, which was a bonus for me. The property has been done to a very high spec and is delightful. I would certainly recommend highly, a stay. There are 2 bedrooms/bathrooms, so you may be sharing tge kitchen. Very well equipped for a long stay as well. Would suit very well, two couples or a family. Thank you Emmeline for all you did for us.

The host Emaldine is very friendly. There are two rooms - both with private bathrooms. Very tastefully decorated. A special place!!! There is a shared kitchen for the (maximum) 4 guests with coffee and coffee machine, stove, oven, tea, plates, cups etc. you can cook here and have breakfast. Restaurants, bakery, butcher and little supermarket nearby. Storage for bikes available. A magic little town with beautiful cathedral, monastery, city wall… Special place! Thank you!

Very clean and well maintained Full of character and very imaginatively decorated and finished with lots of interesting touches - clearly the owner is very creative and caring very central - but also not directly overlooked which gives an interesting view down the street Owner available within minutes if necessary

“Lovely stay in a beautiful village.”

This is a funky, little place with just 2 rooms for rent. The owner is lovely and the furnishings are interesting. There is a decorator's touch in view. Note, there is no air-conditioning, but there are fans in the room that make sleeping on a warm evening tolerable. You are in the heart of town with restaurants and shops close by. The town is picture book perfect and worthy of a stroll in the old town and across the bridge over the beautiful river.
