Hotel Esprit Montagne is a traditional hotel equipped with a sauna, just 250 metres from Les Portes du Soleil ski lift. It is situated in la Chapelle d’Abondance, in Haute-Savoie. “A good overnight stay while we were walking part of the GR5.”
Excellent location close to the GR5 but outside Chappelle d'Abondonce so not near places to eat. Hotel was almost full but the manager was able to squeeze us in to a table for dinner. We greatly appreciated that. We had a nice room with a good view southwards over the countryside.

We were on a motorcycle tour and needed accommodation for one night so booked the hotel at short notice. It’s located about 1 km from the village centre which itself is small. The manager was very helpful, we were able to park the bikes next to the hotel in a safe location and he kindly advised where we could go that evening for a pizza and beer in the village and offered us a ride there. It was ideal for our purposes.

“Accommodating and friendly.”
The hotel was accommodating when I asked for just a salad meal for the evening I was there. The communal space had a lovely fireplace. However, the internet was a bit slow and there are no TVs in the rooms.
