We loved the taking a dip in the pools above the river, getting to know other travelers at family style dinner, and how effortless it was to arrange a hiking tour.

Honestly, it is worth to spend one or two days in here. The waterfall hike is worth it (easy on your own), the rafting is good, but the place... The place is magical! And the cooks are good.

“My favourite stay of the trip - just beautiful!”

This is my favourite place I’ve stayed through my whole trip, the location and views of the river and jungle are amazing, it feels like a friendly oasis to relax in away from the hustle and bustle, and nothing beats taking a dip in the natural granite rock pools while looking out at the views. Highly recommend!

Location is fantastic !I really enjoyed my stay ! Beautiful people work at this lodge always smiling friendly and helpful! ! Cathy the owner she is very nice and it was nice chatting with her during my stay.. interesting woman !

Friendly staff and owner. It was her birthday and she served everyone a slice of cake which was really nice of her! The place is very scenic and peaceful. You can jump in the river or chill in the pools and it’s really close to the entrance to the loop trail in Pico Bonito national park. It’s rustic but well maintained. Fair price overall. Comfortable bed, clean shower. Wifi was mostly good.

“Amazing location on the river”

Amazing place on the river. They help you organize all activities and they serve food. I did the rafting, which was amazing! Instructor Juan made me feel very safe. I also did the hike to the waterfall on my own, which is very doable although you don't meet many other people on the trail. Great food!

Everyone in the hostel made me feel at home. I can only recommend it, the nature around is gorgeous and the animal surrounding you are adorable!

“Best stay in Central America!”

This place is probably one of my best stays I have ever had. We expected rough conditions in the jungle, but this place has everything or actually much more than you need. The views are incredible! The activities are amazing and well arranged by the lodge (hiking and rafting). The food is the best, and for a very good price! For some reason some reviews talk about high prices, but compared to other places in Central America they are very affordable, especially if you take into account that this place is very secluded in nature. They even have fast WiFi! The best things about the place are definitely the home parrot and the natural swimming pools. You can do some cliff jumping at any moment! Another thing: book the hiking tour with their guide. The tour is not cheap, especially if you see that you can do the hike on your own for a small fee. But this is not the same hike, with the guide we did a much nicer hike with some real jungle experiences and much better views on the waterfall! Could recommend it!

Absolutely stunning spot, greenery, jungle, and majestic water flowing by. Lovely staff Miguel who took care of us, kitchen staff provided wonderful meals. We did Hike in Pico Bonito National Park and arranged for White Water rafting trip through the hotel. Local parrot who kept us entertained, cute little hotel bar, and Honduran chocolate factory just a short walk away. We would recommend this hotel.

The river rafting was excellent with great rapids and beautiful forest setting. The lodge is in a beautiful location on the edge of Pico Bonito National Park. The food was great. Staff super friendly.

Little bit off the beaten path in all the good ways. Easy access, little community around and the river and its surroundings will take your breath away. Run by travellers of the world. Highly recommended.

1. The location was incredible. Overlooking the river with natural rock pools to dip in, cliffs to jump from and a stunning view of a wall of green jungle to stare and dream at. Toucans flying over, plus plenty of other bird life. 2. Cathy was a friendly host who looked out for all her guests, helped to arrange trips and activities, and provided a sociable atmosphere in the communal spaces to help people connect. Any problems that arose Cathy was ready to find a solution - super important in the remote jungle! 3. The river rafting!! Super fun, don’t miss out!
