“Great wine farm location, accommodation disappointing.”

The location on a wine farm was superb with a lovely view over the vineyards. The outdoor terrace and view was great to relax over a bottle of wine after the day exploring the nearby coastal villages. Bondol was the best with a nice beach and beachfront shops and market. The accommodation itself was rather disappointing and if the owners were to spend a little money bringing it up to standard it would be superb and the upstairs apartment room would be a money-spinner. The entrance is unkempt, and the furnishings old and tired with no sense of decor whatsoever. The toilet was awkward and everything rudimentary. Only a microwave and refrigerator and basic knife and fork. Plates were mismatched and no facility to cook. Breakfast left for us was fairly good with a lovely fresh fruit salad and enough fresh croissants and bread. A little cold meat and cheese and/or boiled eggs would have been nice. A rubbish bin and bags also, particularly as we were self-catering and had dogs to feed without waste disposal. The dogs were welcomed. Another good addition would be an air conditioner but the fan was fairly adequate. New bedding, cutlery and crockery and decor are recommended.
