Las Olas Beach Resort is located on the Pacific Cost of Panama and next to La Barqueta Beach. It features an ocean front, outdoor swimming pool, Spa Centre and tennis court. “We made our stay nice, but the resort is in serious need of updating and renovation.”
Loved the beach. The gardens were beautiful. However they needed to be cleaned up...leaves on the ground, palm fronds. Loved the outdoor patio.

“Love it”
Sunrise and sunsets are amazing there. Sound of ocean is special Warmest pool and ocean water in Panama. Road construction still there but using doesn't take long to pass through.

“Amazing and relaxing”
Breakfast was good. Nature and the amazing view of sunsets was amazing. Loved the attention given by reception and by staff member Jonathan. Love when things feel friendly and they engage with our daughter to make her eat or just make her laugh.

The hotel would have been nice like 20 years ago - But it seams stuck in time. Very little maintenance around. It needs some serious TLC

“Los Olas pleasant get away with friendly service & good food”
Restaurant food was very good. Service was great. It's an older resort directly on the beach. There's approx 9 miles of beautiful beach to walk. Take beach shoes. The beach has dark sand that's too hot for bare feet. The room had clean sheets & towels for showers. Take your own beach towels. You can take a cooler to your room but can't take you own food or drinks to the pool.

Pools were nice and mostly clean. I understand being right on the beach with wind and critters all around it is hard to keep everything spotless.

“Quiet beach hotel”
Good wifi, good air con, clean, comfy bed, very helpful friendly staff. Manager helped me order airport taxi and sorted out any small issues quickly. Located next to beach, nice restaurant and lovely food, good waiter service, good, large shower. Microwave and fridge a real bonus. Was upgraded to one bedroom suite which was much appreciated. Very quiet. For the price I paid I enjoyed my stay.

“Nice modestly priced, peaceful place to go to get away from it all.”
All rooms had an ocean view and a small porch with chairs and tables facing the ocean. Walls in between gave a sense of added privacy and seclusion. All doors were keyed with a combination deadbolt when locking door. Laundry services were very prompt and fairly priced. Food was ok, good ceviche. Not many people so it felt like you almost had the whole resort to yourself. Only 3 other couples were there at the time. 2 pools on property to soak in. Very large property and a seemingly endless beach with no trash visible on it. Do watch out for the very strong undertow as there are no lifeguards. Not alot of bugs besides a few gnats from time to time. Many people on staff had a fair working knowledge of English which was a boon for me. Staff were very friendly and attentive. Internet was about average for the area @ 5 mbps. Cheapest ocean front place I have probably ever stayed. Hotel is surrounded by tropical gardens and there are lots of birds. AC was nice and cold.

The beach is very good, fine black sand and noone there, empty. There are no facilities on the beach

“This resort has a lot of very nice amenities including a pool and restaurant.”
The hotel was really close to the beach and the beach had beautiful sparkling black sand which was so soft to walk on. The pool was very nice to way in with two sides to the pool. One side was in the sun where the other was shaded by some trees so you could have the best of both if desired.
