Absolute Perfection – The Best Hotel Experience of Our Lives This was, without a doubt, the best hotel experience we have ever had. From the moment we arrived, our host went above and beyond to make our stay in Kyoto unforgettable. He was incredibly kind, thoughtful, and genuinely cared about making sure we had the best possible experience. He helped us with so many things during our stay, including finding us a restaurant reservation. He even went to the restaurant himself and waited there so we wouldn’t lose our table. That level of kindness and dedication is something we have never experienced before. On the day we left, he carried our luggage all the way to the metro station and helped us find the correct exit and route for our journey. He treated us like family rather than guests. We have traveled to many places, but we have never met someone as wonderful and caring as this host. He is truly one of the kindest people we have ever met, and his hospitality made our trip to Kyoto even more special. We cannot recommend this hotel highly enough. If you are visiting Kyoto, you simply have to stay here. Nothing else compares. This hotel set a standard that will be impossible to beat, and we will always cherish the memories we made here. Thank you for giving us the most incredible stay and for making our time in Kyoto absolutely unforgettable. We can’t wait to come back. ❤️

“Fantastic unique traditional accommodation”

Such a unique traditional Japanese accommodation in a quiet side alley. The host was exceptionally kind, helpful and always ready to help. The facilities were outstanding weiht lots of details and absolutely tidy and clean. We had a gorgeous Japanese breakfast at our room. There are many restaurants, convenience stores and a huge 24/7 open supermarket nearby. Public transport is 3-5 min away. Best accommodation ever in Kyoto

We truly enjoyed our stay at Yado Kiramachi. The location was perfect — very central, yet tucked away on a quiet and peaceful street. The staff were incredibly friendly and polite, and the room was amazing: spotless, comfortable, and very cozy.

I loved everything about Yado Kiramachi. From the first time we walked in, it felt like a special place. It was the Tatami experience we were after. Mashni and Taka were exceptionally friendly and helpful, it was lovely to interact with them and getting to know them.

We had a wonderful 4 nights stay at Yado Kiramachi in Kyoto as a family. From the moment we arrived, we were given such a warm and genuine welcome. We really loved staying in a traditional Japanese style accommodation it made our trip feel extra special. Having our own private hot tub was a highlight, especially after long days of sightseeing. It was the perfect way to relax and unwind. The property was very peaceful, and the rooms were clean, comfortable, and well cared for. We all slept very well each night. A special mention to the kind send-off we received when leaving, it was such a thoughtful touch and left a lasting impression on us. We would happily stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Kyoto!

Everything was amazing at Yado Kiramachi. The ambience is fantastic, the rooms are absolutely gorgeous and our wonderful hosts were incredible. The beds are extremely comfortable, the heated table was a welcome sight after a long day out walking in Kyoto along with the outdoor onsen which is incredible.

Quiet and almost hidden. Attention to detail, quality of amenities, fresh flowers in bathroom, tea and coffee selection, Helpfulness of staff going above and beyond to help us with reservations and luggage arrangments. Walking distance to Nishiki market and surrounding shopping area. Closeness to train station.

“Authentic Japanese stay”

Really nice traditional house and lovely staff. We enjoyed the outdoor hot bath and how easy it was to get to the bus and subway.

The property was located in a little charming alley but close to everything, a very good location. The staff was professional and very helpful. I strongly recommend staying here.

We throughly enjoyed our stay here. The futon was super comfortable and the place was nice and quite despite it being in downtown Kyoto near busy areas such as Nishiki market and Teramachi-dori. It was in a convenient location with a bus stop right outside and the train station 5 minutes away. We really enjoyed the outdoor onsen especially after a long day. The staff were also really welcoming and super helpful with all our requests.

Absolutely beautiful property. We loved being able to sleep in the traditional manner in such beautiful surroundings. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful. It is well located too - we just hopped on and off the bus to get around.

I highly recommend village kiramachi to tourists who visiting Kyoto. In terms of location, it’s incredibly convenient for public transportation: the bus stop is right outside the door, the Shijo Karasuma subway station is about a seven-minute walk away, and Kyoto Station is just a ten-minute taxi ride. As for comfort, it’s a perfect choice for anyone wanting to experience traditional Japanese living style. From the clean tatami mats and soft bedding to the gentle off-white lighting, well-designed bathroom, and scenic views from every window, every detail carries the warmth of home. I’d especially like to highlight the kotatsu (heated table) in the room—on a winter night, who could resist slipping into its cozy warmth while writing a travel journal or watching a TV show? The staff are also wonderfully thoughtful: they respect guests’ personal space and rarely intrude, yet are always ready to offer assistance whenever needed. Village Kiramachi truly lets you feel the sincerity, timeless charm, and elegance of Kyoto.
