Daily housekeeping, with a large and comfortable bed. Conveniently located near the metro station/train station and just 2 minutes from Kyoto Station. A 7-Eleven convenience store is located nearby for snacks, drinks, and other essentials. The neighborhood is exceptionally clean, safe, and quiet.

Larger room than usual for Japan, great helpful staff and friendly service, hotel is next to the station and in walking distance, you have to do your own check in and check out, tourist tax applies, everything you need is in the room, very comfy and calm area to have a good night's sleep.

The hotel is across the street from Kyoto Station (Hachijo West Exit). It's convenient if you plan a lot of day trips outside of Kyoto (Uji, Nara, Omihachiman, Osaka, etc), but it can be a hassle when exploring Kyoto itself because it means navigating the insanity of Kyoto station, which can try anyone's patience. The room is spacious, and the bed is super comfortable. There was a small couch and table in my room, which was perfect for squeezing in work and writing. Some of the hotel staff are super friendly and helpful, but I can tell others aren't and will be quick to say no. So yeah, be a little persistent if you have a request or need help. Most staff can speak or understand English. Two ladies there deserve a mention because they went out of their way to help me send my luggage to the airport, even though I had missed the "2-3 days before departure" window that you supposedly need. I think that's a requirement from Yamato Service, though, which most hotels use, hence they also insist on that timeline. (You can absolutely send your luggage to KIX airport the day before - just do it before 11 AM and use KDS Delivery Service. They work with JAL.) My flight was on the 31st, booked the service (with the help of staff) on the 30th at 11 am, and by 3 PM that same day, I had already received an email that my luggage had arrived at KIX. Navigating a suitcase around Kyoto Station (or any station for that matter) was just not something I wanted to do because it's so stressful. Anyway, there's a 711 nearby and an AEON mall less than 10 minutes away.

The location is perfect, just across the road from Kyoto Station. My room was very clean and comfortable, and the staff were great, very efficient and helpful.

Hotel with friendly staff (although check-in and check-out are separate), our room was spacious (by Japanese standards), everything was super clean and the towels are changed every day. Toiletries are available. There is laundry on the 2nd, 3rd and 4th floors and you can see on the TV in the room how much time is left for the washing/drying to finish! The breakfast is varied (more Asian options) but for those who prefer bread with butter, croissants and coffee with milk and yogurt with granola, you will also be able to eat :) The location is excellent, very close to Kyoto station, with many shopping malls (Donki at Avanti Shopping - important information!) and several restaurants inside the station as well. The AEON MALL shopping center has a huge variety of shops, restaurants (very good buffet restaurant) and entertainment in true Japanese style - which we loved!

Able to store luggage when we arrived early. Room, while small, had everything we needed. Three floors of laundry machines and the ability to see their status on the TV was fabulous. Laundry a real bonus to our stay. Also microwaves there.Location next to a convenience store was handy (despite a very rude aggressive teenage salesperson). Best of all was the location to the station with a myriad of eateries and other stores only 5 minutes' walk away.
