Overview
Shirafuji-an is a townhouse that can be rented as a whole, just a 5-minute walk from Omiya Station on the Hankyu Kyoto Line. It features a garden, free Wi-Fi and a Japanese-style room with a tatami (woven mat) floor. The Shirafuji-an is a 10-minute taxi ride from Kiyomizu-dera Temple and Nijo-jo Castle. The townhouse is equipped with air conditioning, a flat-screen TV and a fridge. It has a contemporary bathroom with a ceramic bathtub and a walk-in shower. Guests sleep in traditional futon bedding on a tatami (woven mat) floor. The house mostly has a stone and wooden floors, a robust Japanese wooden cabinet and a Japanese hearth with a kettle. It offers low tables and seating cushions on the floor. The second floor has high ceilings, and throughout Shirafuji-an there are fusuma sliding paper doors. Reservations must be paid in full in advance via J-Reserve payment system (see Important Information for details).

“Lovely traditional stay with nice hosts”
The staff were excellent and met us at the property to help us check in and explain anything we needed to know. Great place for classic Japanese style. Good location, close to a station! Right next to a family mart so great for snacks. The bath was amazing!

Great location to Omiya station and bus stops, convenient, right next to a convenience store great for coffee and food in the morning, unique experience staying in a traditional japanese town house with it all to ourselves, excellent heating, comfortable traditonal mat japanese style beds with comfy bedding, beautiful traditional bathroom, perfect location for train to bamboo forest, Eco friendly toilets with basins on top of toilet is excellent

It was a great experience. The house is spacious, which is a welcome change from small hotel rooms in city hotels. I would definitely recommend it for a few nights.
